Did you need to do anything special to the fifth wheel to be capable for towing the Jeep such as strengthen the frame?

I took the cover around the pinbox down, inspected, and has a couple areas welded up that looked weak, poorly welded, or poorly fit together. Then I had a trailer shop build and install the hitch on the back. We haven't broken the frame yet, but I check it on a regular basis. Hope that helps.

Thank you for sharing. I am going back and forth between double tow or frame stretch and carry the Rubicon. Any issues or thoughts after almost a year?

We like double towing vs a stretched truck. The longer the truck is, the less spots you fit into. We can get shorter just by disconnecting the Jeep, but if you have a 35-40 foot long truck, you'll never get shorter. The other aspect - it takes 5 minutes to detach the Jeep for use, vice unhooking the trailer, setting up ramps, etc for carrying it on the truck. If I was gonna put one on the truck, I'd be looking for a 4 door roll back tow truck, but that's $$$$$. Or maybe a car carrier.
