My wife doesn't like noisy things either. I tend to hide in the workshop. That's a nice stove John.

That's why John spends his time in the shop!

The fan has a dual purpose. Not only does it circulates the warm air, it also drags air over the cooling fin, so the temperature difference between both sides of the Peltier element is maximised. If top and bottom of this device were equally hot, no electricity would be generated.

Top drawer John, dirty hot and messy things, me too. That'll work a treat to circulate the warm air. I'll have to get one, or two, maybe three. My stoves ridiculously, dangerously hot to the inexperienced. A vintage industrial Tangye Junior Cast Iron multifuel stove. Saved from a potting shed in 1984. Previous life was in an ex railway waiting room before Bevin closed all the so-called uneconomical railway lines. Cheers Tony

Beeching closed the Railways. Bevin was Minister of Labour during the war. Your stove sounds great!

We’ve got two and have had 2 of them for about 10 years, our fire is in the fireplace and definitely move the hot air into the room, they are silent unless they get a bit of crap under them when they knock which is a bit annoying.
@MegaBuckfast11 ай бұрын
Well I’ve bought one using the code, cheers. I’ve already got one that I bought from Aldi but it’s crap. It doesn’t actually blow but actually pulls air. I had to turn it through 180’ for it to work haha.

I have one of these with 3 blades, not the same brand, and it moves diddly squat. It does let me know when the stove is hot since I don't have a glass door.

I imagine a little insulation around that lower end will help it out at lower fire settings. Thank you for the review! Variety is indeed a good thing. Stay warm and healthy over there.

Yes but you do not want to cook the peltier coolers in it, they start to degrade when they exceed 70C, and the soft solder used to assemble them in the factory melts around 150C.

Oh wow, I didn't know the outside of those stoves got so hot!

I had one, I think they are more for fancy and look good, yes they do more hot air from under the chimney but the benefit is minimal.

Should probably blow it towards the exhaust pipe which is the hottest point I believe

That fire looks so comforting and warm John. The fan will help to warm the whole room. If you read this John, I've just put up my video on the Xtreme Plasma cutter. Cheers Nobby @nobbysworkshop
