Christopher Reeve is what makes the Movie ok. It is funny how Pryor makes it more like what could been just a skit, than a full movie. Is like one or two jokes ain't so bad, but still not for all the jokes themselves (And being fair isn't like CBMs have gotten less comical, ofc not that people want it) Many have alredy mentioned how Annete O'tole went from be Lana Lang here to be Martha Kent on Smallville. But another trivia is that the song that plays on the class reunion also appears on a Smallville episode, where one of Lana's ancestors supposedly had an affair with Jor-El. Another cool thing i think about this one is how Superman and Lois from CW did in the Pilot episode a lil tribute to this one at the begin. Clark kinda saves the Day similar to the chemical plant scene here. And a Supergirl episode replicates the Bar Scene. Also also, the fact Margot Kidder appears briefly is due her creative differences with the producers after the Reshoots of Superman II, and that's why they wanted bring Lana as a love interest.

It also makes sense for the malevolent super-computer he's compelled to design. What's wild is that, in the actual movie, Gus's computer skill is still kind of framed as almost paranormal, but ultimately comes across as the screenwriters thinking that computers are just like magic.

I still think there's a GOOD Superman film in this that's been 50-50 Frankensteined onto a Richard Pryor comedy Your enjoyment of this film is proportional to how much you can stomach that mix

Now I obviously know that Superman IV is a terrible movie, but I'll watch Superman 4 over 3 ANY day! I hate this movie!

That fight scene between the traffic signals was his first AI, which points to him making the one to defeat Superman.

Richard Pryor and Superman were a worse combination than Richard Pryor and cocaine.

You can love it all you want, that doesn't mean we all have to, lol. I get that comedy is subjective, but man, this is one of the most painful comedies I have ever seen. The scenes in Kansas are good and the junkyard Superman fight is great. That's all I got 😂

Damon Wayans, Keenan Ivory, Tommy Davidson and later Jamie Foxx had the impersonations EXACT on ILC! out of all 4 films, this is the best Reeve has looked as Clark and especially Superman. He has a really chiseled look it reminds me of how Jim Lee draws Superman.
