Someone who’s media savvy should get these mascots together and start a fighting league type venture. Nothing hardcore, more like G.L.O.W. than MMA. Alter the characters and costumes, to avoid copyright infringement litigation. Keep it family friendly, with a slight edge, and play up the comedy and theatrics. You may not get it but there are spectators, even grown spectators, that are intrigued by seeing people in costumes. They have a whole showcase in Vegas and now a TV show called The Masked Singer where people perform in full in heavy duty costumes. And then there's cosplay. I don't know if I can say that furries and these mascots should be lumped into the same discussion. I'm not a fur suit person myself, but I have a few friends in the community. And the whole pose for tips thing seems more in line with these faux mascots. Fursuiters tend to just enjoy being out and about as their characters. The appeal for them is just being in costume. If someone wants a photo, hey, sweet. But they won't charge you for it, not unless they're some big shot or think they're a big shot in the community. Hell. I doubt most furries would even want to be associated with tourist trap mascots like this.
