@1:50, I'll still visually see 120hz on my monitor, it's just recording max 4k 60hz is what you mean. Right? Also does this solution require your monitor / tv to produce sound? Because my monitor doesn't.

@@DoubtMeTech I want to replicate this setup but my only concern is not being able to record audio with my other consoles. Since I want to use the same HDMI cable between my Xbox and Switch. So in order for chat to work wirelessly for Xbox the a50 dock has to be used plugged into the Xbox via USB for game audio + chat instead of via optical from the TV itself or the console. With the Astro a50 wireless on Xbox can you send the game sounds to the dock via optical from the TV and still plug the USB directly into the Xbox for game/party chat?

@@tactician420ttv Sort of. I use an Elgato Chat Link cable with an extension cord into my Xbox controller and I’m not using an optical audio from the Astro A50 at all. In fact, the other end of the chat link cable then goes directly into the Astro dock and then the dock is wired to another mixamp which has a 3.5mm cable going from that and directly into my Elgato capture card. It’s a pretty janky and complicated setup but it achieves what I want and that is being able to capture game audio AND in-game chat audio. The two issues are: 1) I had to settle on not gaming with a fully wireless setup on my Xbox since my wireless controller must always be tethered to a 3.5mm jack cable (Not that bad tho since I like being able independently change the volume and balance between game and chat audio on the fly with the physical buttons on my Xbox chatpad that it is connect to. 2) The setup doesn’t quite work for when I want to capture Nintendo Switch gameplay and mix it with another audio chat source like Discord. I end up using my wired sennheiser headset which isn’t the end of the world but would’ve liked being able to use my nice expensive Astro A50’s My KZbin channel I post/stream on is ‘ jordychinchin - J2Ctv ‘ If you want to see and hear the quality for yourself. All my Xbox gameplay is captured/streamed with this setup edit: typo

My only issue with doing this is I can't seem to adjust game/chat audio even through the PS5 itself. Makes it difficult when chat audio is louder than game audio and I still need to hear when playing games that are heavily reliant on sound.

I have all of that. But don't need anymore since they added party/game adjustment in setting , and u can adjust individual volume

Thanks! I have spent the last few days wrestling with getting my Turtlebeach Stealth 700 G2's to connect wirelessly and pass game AND CHAT audio to the capture card. I love my TB700G2's they are comfy, good game sound and great bluetooth sound, but the work around i have seen seems to only half work. If you use a second controller and run it via aux to the elgato and sign into it on another account or guest account you will get game audio (as you mentioned you have the change the audio to analog in the 4k app)the problem is you dont have chat audio, and it seems no one can figure out why???? With my play style I really want to have chat audio carried to the card too! It works with my old TB700G1's and the chat link, but the audio isnt as good as the G2's and they aren't as comfy. Any insight on getting Chat audio via controller/account 2?

do you know a way for me: im streaming a lot of ps5 content to my computer and I use my headset for the pc, my elgato game capture is on so i get the ps5 sound to the pc (so i can hear ps5 gameplay, ps5 chat, and all pc sounds at the same time) BUT my friends in ps5 chat ofc can't hear me, i don't want to use in-ear headset and plug it in to the controller so that they can hear me, is there a way for me to talk to them through my PC mic and still play on the ps5 and stream on the PC?

@@verronti kinda… all I had to do was plug in my Astro base to the pc and do a software update on it. It works but maaaaan the audio on the headphones are soooo fucking low when you do that. So I’m a buy Astro AMP for it and see if I can increase the volume through my headset.
