❗️For those of you that want to use the controller as a microphone (8:18 in video), it's possible by inserting a 2 ring headphone jack into the DualSense. This will allow for ALL AUDIO (even chat) to go over HDMI and NOT the controller speaker. You can then mute your TV and listen to your game audio through your computer using the monitor and output feature in OBS like I showed in the video.

I think I have an unusual problem? First off, your videos are LIFESAVERS. I have the same setup as you (Elgato 60s+ and PS5 with PS5 wireless headset). I was wondering how I would be able to get party chat to go through to stream, while MUTING my headset chat to stream, so my friends can hear me but stream can't - - so stream ONLY hears me from my microphone (into OBS). I want to be able to communicate with my friends in game, have their voices go through stream, and use a microphone to commentate on stream. If anyone's out there and can help, I'd be forever in your debt.

Keep searching for tutorials here, there's ton on setting up OBS and getting the sources right ! Need some help with some audio issue I've been having with my stream. For context I Game on PS5 and Stream on PC, I have the Elgato capture software downloaded and set to Analog audio and I stream using the OBS Software. So I have an Elgato Wave DX Mic connected to a GoXlr as my stream Mic. Then connecting via the GameDac Gen 2, I have the Artic Nova Pro Wired to the PS5 using USB. Then I have a 3.5mm jack which connects from the GameDac Gen 2 to my headset. Then I have the Chatlink cable connected from my capture card to my controller and then following the instructions provided by steelseries they say to plug a 3.5mm audio jack from the line out port in the GameDac Gen2 to the chatlink cable then set the line out port to stream which is what I do. Then on the PS5 I set to the Headset(Controller) setting which is what the elgato setup video i watched said to do. Now here comes the problem, after doing all of this I lose all sound I'm my headset and I can no longer talk to anyone in game as my headset mic also no longer works. If I switch the output device on PS5 to USB Headset(Artics Nova Pro) I gain the audio in my headset back and my mic works again but the capture now also captures my voice from both my headset mic and Stream mic so my voice is doubled. I know this is an older video, but I'm losing my mind trying to fix this any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey MM. I'm currently using the exact setup you've outlined in this video - Elgato HD60 S+ for PS5 capture, running the USB out to a MacBook Pro to run the Elgato software. Oddly enough, though it says it's recording 1080p60fps in the software, when I bring the files into Adobe Premiere afterwards the frame rate is 56.62 .. which is odd. My webcam is also 60fps, and those files load in at 59.98fps. So I'm going to end up with steady desynchronization between the two over time. Do you have any potential solutions for me to get the Elgato capturing gameplay at a stable 59.98fps instead of this strange 56.62?

you mentioned the integrated 620 graphics, but using OBS really needs a dedicated GPU as OBS draws the Canvas in the main area of the GPU (where PC games are processed) and it uses a dedicated portion of the GPU (NVENC) for encoding (as an option instead of your CPU). Elgato's 4KCU software also uses NVENC as a preference

2:09 the elgato chat link cable is that only when recording gameplay? people can hear the chat and game audio. Correct me if I'm wrong but with this cable, when I'm live streaming people can hear me, the gameplay, and the chat audio

Only gameplay and chat audio, your friends can hear you but not the stream. You need a second mic for commentary connected to your computer.

If your 4K capture is blinking and card is not connecting here is the solution. - Open 4Kcapture after you disabled Hdcp. Then it’s still black right? Then unplug the power next to the hdmi cord out of the capturecard, then plug it back in. If this doesn’t work it doesn’t mean it won’t work it just means you need to troubleshoot the unplugging process. When u look at the capture card just after u take the hdmi plug out and back in it will blink red. This means it’s not connecting. You want to keep unplugging and repluging either both the hdmi cables and the power cable. You should get to see a white light blink up instead of a red, This means it reseted and is going to connect. Do all of this while 4K capture is opened. After u see the white light blink on the capture card your game screen should show up in 4K capture. If you run into a problem where u did this and right after the white light blinked and the game screen connected it ended up somehow disconnecting back where you started. Then you have to close 4K capture and re open it. If that doesn’t work then. Unplug and replug the hdmi and close and reopen 4K cap. If that doesn’t work you should see the cycle im getting at..Do it over and you should figure it out. I know that seems like I’m just telling you to figure it out on your own but in reality it’s what it takes 99% of the time when trying to troubleshoot computers. It’s complicated and hard. So sometimes you do have to unfortunately figure it out yourself.
