I needed to hear this today! My husband, Karl (a mission doctor) and I started a little church school beginning 2022. (the third we've started in Botswana) Then God allows Karl to die beginning '23. & my supportive father also died Feb '24. I have been overwhelmed by all the challenges of keeping the school running! This certainly is my 'mountain'! Your message is God's answer to my prayers. "Lord, should I keep going or not?"

Pastor Doug, i want to be like Jesus, i hate sin, and i want to be saved from it. He has concord a lot of my sins, but i have not been able to get rid of my coffee addiction. I no longer drink 10 cups a day, now I only drinking 1 cup a week. But even that, to me, is my sin. This is been going on for a year already. How do i overcome ?

Pray like Abraham, every night on the dot and show God, "Lord, oh I wanna change", then resist all you can, because believe me the Lord if you pray is backing you and have faith in that fact. Then realize, you're human, only God can make you truly strong. So when you cave tell the Lord you're sorry and say even though you're weak, you still want this and repent for not upholding being able to fully resist. The Lord isn't cruel, he just loves faith and can't help himself when you're dedicated like Abraham.

You stop buying it. When you have the urge you resist. Exercise 4 times a week to elevate your heart rate and drink a-lot of water each day 8 glasses for 30 days and pray and the cravings will stop. 1 Corinthians 10:13 King James Version 13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Hey man, bless you for your commitment. If I were you, I'd fast for as long as the Lord puts it on your heart. I was doing close to the same thing with nicotine. Quit it enough to not be addicted but couldn't help my self once in a while. I fasted for 2 days and prayed the whole time. Now it's a lot easier. Praise the Lord.
