A4s, 34s, and 33 could all get here with that line. What makes the call more interesting is I don't see why Polk couldn't also do this with hands like 88 or 66. It's not that there aren't bluffs, including some pure air like QJ, but I think Polk could pull this line with his entire range of hands that beat 5 no kicker. I think Jwin may have just concluded that Polk could and would do this with all of his air which makes this an okay call. Just a player read at the end.

Played a tourney today had 22 had to fold then the next hand I get 22 again and I raise to 2200 (blinds 500/1000) I flop quads and get paid in full by the flush on the turn

This is not a very good spot to overbet river. It completes one of your main floats from flop and gives showdown value to the other. You have a bunch of value and not a lot of intuitive bluffs. Really easy to be imbalanced, opponent has an easy fold.

I don't know what bluffs Doug can have here, there are no flush draws and the straight draws that miss make a pair of 4s - does he bluff with those? Maybe bluffs pocket 3s, but that's pretty much it against all the 2x he can have... pretty bad call

the whole time I was trying to figure out the bottom of range with Doug's line. by the bet on turn it was already kinda high. bricks on rivers are also godsend

Bottom of his range on the turn was a middling pair like 88s and 99s and even those were beating Jwin's 5. With the river overbet, his range became the nuts. If you think about his bluffing range on the river, he still had many hands he could be bluffing with. But it would be a crazy crazy bluff to make all overpairs fols.
