I heard him for the first time last night @ a concertin in So. CA, and by God, I think this is the best fingerpicker I have ever heard. He is a pheonominal musican.

Doug, hope all is well with you. I felt a little down and looked up a KZbin video from you to lift me up. Just got diagnosed with a zinger. Your music always does the trick. I have been listening to your works since Order of Magnitude. Timeless.

I've been a fan since 1992's "Order of Magnitude" album. Great to watch Doug play here.

Wow. My sisters Diane and Carol have been telling me about their friend Doug for years - and perhaps I'm glad I waited until recently to check him out. I would likely have thrown all of my guitars in the trash (sold them more likely ;) WOW. WOW. WOW. And this an 11 year old vid. Man - Doug, if you aren't living the good life with monster talent like that, then something is very wrong. You are one of a very very few super-talents bro. Way cool...

Guys like this are what KZbin is for - to expose talent that might not have mass market commercial appeal to those intelligent enough to recognize it when they see it. "The average person doesn't recognize genius."

incredible. Love the flow between transitions. Very complementary to each other. This style of playing guitar needs more attention.....or are people just numb...

Which Bella Fleck album is that? Thanks!

meh, it's very good song writing. It's easier than it looks though, all you need is a guitar with a decent action and you can play what he did...if you've been playing for as long as i have anyways. Still a fucking great song.
