I just saw Doug last Spring, he's still as edgy as ever. I watch him for the drunken/spoken word aspect, rarely laugh out loud, and enjoy him more than I enjoyed Carlin or Bill Hicks. It's just a different culture. I think the audience was enjoying themselves. In many european countries it's this way. I find it annoying when American audiences howl at every single word that comes out of the comedians mouth.
