I am preparing for my trip there. I will see you there... Aslamah

Personally as a Canadian who visited both places I really admire both of them but If I had to choose the most interesting one I would go with Sidi Bou Said. I think it's simply because Sidi Bou Said is a historic town that wasn't rebuilt or adjusted much and modernized over time. It's an ongoing old piece of art that represents one of the most unique architectures in the world which is the Andalusian architecture. The history of the houses, the buildings and the streets is what makes the place more interesting and different. I was thinking about places to visit this summer and glad that your video popped up to me because I think I would love to revisit Tunisia again.

I think Santorini and Sidi Bou Said are quite different honestly. The common point between the two is the white and blue color theme + Mediterranean. But the architecture of Sidi Bou Said is typically North African (the doors, arches, mosaics etc) and it's a town with an old history. Not a recent touristic spot. The white and blue was already present before French colonization as seen in the paintings of Eugene de Lacroix but it was more heterogonous (not all houses were painted that way). But it was the Baron d'Erlangers who asked for all houses to be painted white and blue in the early 1900s. I'd say some of the houses of Djerba look more similar to Santorini than Sidi Bou Said houses do. PS: the bambalouni is not related to french beignet. They're actually probably of Andalusian origins. Variations of it exist in all the Maghreb countries (for example sfenj in Morocco) and legend says it was invented by accident when an Andalusian baker dropped dough in a hot pan of oil! Anyways lovely vlog and beautiful images really enjoyed it thank you!
