the reason the steering feels a little "vague" is because the e36s had progressive steering racks, while the z3 has a linear steering rack, and the z3 one fits in e36s so its a very common upgrade to do
@creakidАй бұрын
U.S. M3 also has this progressive rack for 1995 only. It enlarges the turning radius as if making clearance for fat tires. Back in the old days, Audi 4000/Coupe did the opposite for the quicker rack. LOL Anyway, E46's rack would do, not just non-M Z3's.

Its a 30 year old car, these were proper beemers though, spanked the turbo charged stuff in Japan and won 2 JTCC titles against the GT-R, Supra and the NSX, which promptly forced the Japanese to force them out, especially as they had by this point been embarrassed by Team Lark and the McLaren F1 driven by Ralph Schumacher winning all but 1 race and then BMW returning to dominate with another M3. Thats why the JGTC was Japanese manufacturer only unlike DTM and the rest in Europe which welcomed all comers. Surprisingly it didnt compete in the DTM Championship. It did compete in the American Le Mans championship and won multiple titles over there too.

One i never modified, the other went thru Schrick and the other Sunbelt cams (great setup), and one even turbo with over 500whp. This video came perfectly for me because I'm still on the "high" of my acquisition just 3 months ago, a '98 3.2L Evo. I've got the full exh done, and am just waiting for the CSL-style box that should arrive in a month (and I'm done). These cars are just so good, gobs more fun than a US-spec. These cars go through BAT too--if anyone has a shot, I highly recommend! Keep up these great videos!

Have you ever heard of the BMW M3 "Frozen Edition"? It was an ultra-rare (25 were produced) version of the E92 M3 which was produced and sold only in South Africa🇿🇦. South Africa has a history of producing unique BMWs which were only sold here, such as the legendary E30 325is and E30 333i. Some pretty legendary and valuable cars.

Yeah, he's the BMW knowledge king. Although this is Doug's channel, not cars&bids, so people might throw a fit....
