Getting out of the way is never a problem because it comes down pretty slowly and it beeps so you always know that it's coming down so I appreciate the fact that Chrysler minivans and SUV's have the button on the inside.

more than few errors on this one, Dougy boy: There is an option for dial gauges in the cluster, guess you just missed it when scrolling through. The center console in the 2nd row is front hinged to allow a flat load floor with all seats down. The glass with the 2 Grand Wagoneer silhouettes will not fit on the 5-seater, as the entire length difference is behind the c-pillar, so that glass is too long for the 5-seater. The buttons to raise and lower the 3rd row are 1-touch. You do not need to keep them depressed to keep the seats moving. The rear hatch button is where it is because putting it in the hatch itself is a problem for shorter people to reach, which you are not. Your tall privilege is showing, buster:) Regarding the engine choices, don't recommend the V6 until you drive it. It is utterly inadequate for this vehicle. You're correct that the V8 is underwhelming; but the V6 is PATHETIC in this application. Passing and merging will be uncomfortable/stressful with the V6.

Its objectively fast in Europe. Our emission laws are much stricter, and cars are taxed based on emissions, on top of that gasoline is taxed to cost $9 a gallon so people care about fuel consumption a lot. Normal cars here do 0-60 in 8-12 seconds. Anything below 7 is considered fast. My Lexus GS450h (5.3 seconds) and my girls Volkswagen Polo GTI 2019 (6.1) beat pretty much 90% of anything you meet on the road. Except for the weekends when people take out their weekend toys. In the Netherlands for example, American cars are unpopular due to taxes. This Jeep would be taxed at around $50.000 on top of cost and 21% VAT. Expect to pay $170k for something like this. Jeep dealers wont even offer this model here lol

By opening it forward it is able to go flush with the rest of the seats and fill in the gap, allowing you to use the entire cargo area. This also helps keep it nice If you leave it closed when you try to load anything big you need to fight to get it over the console hump.

I’ve been waiting for your review on this, as I’ve got the same spec Summit Reserve on order. Should be here next month. This review just felt lazy though. You missed (and misstated) a fair bit. As you mention, this is a big seller for families. Yet, you completely miss the FamCam feature for backseat viability in both rows. Not a common feature, and was worth mentioning. You suggest most folks stick with the V6, but you haven’t driven it. It’s significantly underwhelming in this body. The V8 should be the only thing you recommend, although indeed they are much harder to find. You talk about the second row console and show how it flips over for 3rd row, which is true, but when you lay all the seats down, you forgot to flip the console then to show that it creates a flat load floor. That’s the other benefit to that double hinge. You also missed the heads up display ENTIRELY, which is standard on the Summit Reserve, so I know you saw it. Also not a common feature, even in 2021, and should have at least gotten a mention. You didn’t say anything about the quiet ride, and the double paned glass and active noise cancellation… features mostly found only on high-end lux brands. It’s here too. You give the JGCL a 56 out of 100 for your review… and I’d give your review about the same. Not your best work.

I agree with you about the 3.6L V6. It produces most of it's power at high rpm and it doesn't have the low end torque that the V8 has. I had a 2011 with a v6 and it was painfully slow off the line.
