as someone with a serious case of time blindness it always makes me chuckle when doug says that, and it's always so sincerely. Just starting up my drawing program and finding reference pictures takes easily 10 minutes so I can't imagine coding would be much faster

What do you mean by "arbitrary code execution"? I just know that as a speedrun glitch in Ocarina of Time and some other games.

@@lynquid arbitrary code execution is basically just the ability to run any code of their choice, but in this case means specifically using the input Doug has set up to send code and trick his computer into reading it (this doesn't actually happen in the video, but it maybe could've). I don't fully remember what was wrong with Doug's code in this video but I think it was that certain characters were ending the string he was storing messages in early (not certain about this it was 11 months ago), and I remember thinking that someone who knew what they were doing could probably use those characters and then add their own malicious code in the rest of the message.

@@abstractlime101 Yeah I finished watching it, people started using certain characters and it crashed the code, also they were able to use what I think he called SSML Tags with a direct link to an mp3 file on a dropbox, and it played (someone played the laundry alarm xD). So I guess that is what you were talking about. ^^

The teleporter selects a spot randomly from 4-8 blocks ahead of the user, (5-9 vertically.) If the selected block is a solid wall, the game will look for an open spot up to 3 blocks above the destination to teleport the user. If the destination is a wall and there's no open space within 3 blocks above it, the user will die in the wall. Additionally, if the destination is a bone block, the bone block will be destroyed, and the user will survive unharmed

2:31:00 I went back to see what clever work the chatter did to circumnavigate Doug's sanitization of the input. Probably about 5 of the frames at that timecode show the input that resulted in WeeWoo being played from an external Dropbox link, before the chat message was nuked by automod presumably for containing a link. Imagine my surprise at seeing just a plain tag. Doug, I know you said you did, but did you sanitize the input at all?

If your backup is playing with the default voice, you should just do that for all messages unless they specify. That way the voices have more impact because they have to be chosen. You can still use the "meth" tag for randomness.

Once the first message parsed the xml in tts I would have cut off the entire thing. That can be a major security threat as there have been many recorded company infiltrations that started with code injection through unsanitised inputs.

It wasn't from his computer, it was a Dropbox link. And it got played because Doug like didn't sanitize the input. At all. There was no creative escaping of the text box (like in the XKCD Bobby Tables strip), it was just a plain tag. I'll reply with a link to a screenshot (and the XKCD) but I'm pretty sure YT doesn't allow links in comments.

well the thing with the french is that ever since gemany actually existet they got shit on by them. first they lost the franco german war shortly after germany was founded. then in ww1 it was pretty much a stellmate between germany and england and france combined until england developed tanks so too not a great look for the french but fore for the brits and then in ww2 they completly got anihalated.

1. Digorno is just straight trash, it is the worst bottom tier pizza there is. 2. Dominoes changed their recipes awhile back and the pizza is decent now. 3. Anyone that thinks Dominoes has bad ingredients is kind of stupid. 90% of pizza places in america use the exact same ingredients, so trying to say something like Papa John's has better ingredients than Dominoes is just ignorant, the ingredients are the exact same. That is how Little Ceasers's is able to sell pizza for just $5, they supply the ingredients to all the pizza chains, including Dominoes and Papa Johns.
