i understand why you used it, but please be mindful of using schizo/schizophrenia/schizophrenic as a descriptor or punchline! in this context it would be better to say making us look like liars or that we made it up. ik it seems tedious but using mental illnesses as descriptors genuinely does perpetuate harmful and incorrect stigmas and stereotypes about them (same with saying something like "everyone's a bit adhd" or "I'm so ocd i have to have everything organized"). also shortening schizophrenia to schizo is just really outdated language on it's own

@@Лада-г1ж in this individual instance maybe not but on a larger scale i promise you changing the language around mental illness does impact perception a lot, both in public and medical spaces. destigmatizing language makes it easier for people to recognize they need help and be willing to access treatment (and be provided helpful treatment). using labels like schizophrenia in this way trivialises the very real and complicated nature of it as well as qualifies it as an automatically negative thing in peoples’ minds, especially when mental illnesses and neurodivergence are already very strongly typecast. there’s better ways to describe what you mean
