Earlier I watched a video about the Duggars and how the parents put all the work onto the children, mainly the girls. The mom Michelle was seen as a super hero mom. Far from it, Jessa looked about 9 or 10 and she was saying she would do 7 loads of washing/laundry, 10 if they changed bedding. Then dry it all, all that wide open space I’d think the adults would have gone and put it out to dry. Then fold, iron, pair up socks and put it all away in their huge family clothes room/closet. I don’t see anything wrong with kids helping with housework, I used to do a lot as a child. But the Duggars used them as servants. Even Anna a daughter in law would comment about Michelle and Jim bob not doing the work themselves. Michelle would say she was so busy ‘home schooling’ in cases like them it should be called giving your child a lack of understanding of real the real world, not just the brainwashing. It’s cheating children off a well rounded education and denying them access to subject specialists. I taught in a primary school, 3.5 to 11, but I couldn’t teach high school advanced maths and drama that a couple of my friends teach. I don’t have a clue about engineering, or coding for example. Instead the older children have to teach themselves. The material they use is awful, I looked up some of the ‘wisdom books’ ugh, cheesy, nonsense, in accurate tripe. 1 stayed in my mind about eyes, no teaching about the parts of the eyes, how vision works, maybe Joe guide dogs help people who need them…nope! The girls were told they shouldn’t have any eye contact with boys or men, or wink at them! They call it defrauding 😤 When men & boys can’t control themselves around women & girls it’s their job to cover up everything. There’s a lot of victim blaming too, of course. Anyway…I was singing the praises of this lovely family and true super here mom!

New viewer here... I know this might be a strange/unusual comment, but I had to say thank you. I unfortunately have grown up in a home where my mother is very terse and emotionally abusive, and watching your videos is bringing me so much joy. Its easy to see that you're caring for each of your children, and you stay kind and positive even while rushing or stressed. I'm not allowed to other peoples houses, so I've never really seen that before; a stressed energy has always been a mutually violent or shameful one, so I'm now extremely sensitive to the stress of others, and even more so, my own. Playing these videos as I go about my life or even just sitting down and watching; its cathartic. Thank you, for being someone competent and full of love, and for sharing it with all of us.

This is crazy, how you manage to do this every morning. I do not have kids, but watching you is so inspiring! For the record: I do not even remember, that my mom cooked smth in the usual morning (probably, that was before I turned 10 at least), she might cook dinner, but brekfest - only on weekends. She didn't pack anything to school (I just bought smth from my pocket money, - after 3rd grade, before we had pre-paid tea with some snack), and since my sister turned 10, supper was our job. You do so much, and it is truly amazing, how you remember what each child want!

Mom always used Sunday as her recharge day. Morning church, made a big dinner. Supper was fend for yourself, Left overs and she would pop up a big bowl of popcorn for the ones that weren't that hungry. We had to take care of our own dishes we dirtied. She would read catch up on the things she was interested in. Did her crafting sewing gardening or planning it depending on the season. She always got up at 5 am on weekdays. Had her coffee and morning meeting with the Lord studied her bible. Then swept the kitchen. Got us all off to school. You remind me a lot like her . Hi, Alicia!! I found you about three weeks ago and I’m finding so much joy watching! I don’t know anything about fresh laid eggs from your own chickens, but I have noticed you needing to get shell out of the eggs you use and I have a hint that might help: crack your eggs on a flat surface instead of the side of a bowl. A friend suggested this to me and explained that the edge of the bowl can cause pieces of shell to get into the egg you’re cracking. I tried, and it really worked for me!! Love to you and yours!!

Here it's very different with packed lunches (UK I should add), we are only allowed to add water to drink, no sugary treats and sandwiches must contain meat, fish or cheese. it gets hard being creative and keeping lunches interesting. Our junk cupboard is awful we go looking for something maybe a battery or a plug and we're sure to find what we're looking for there. The trouble comes when you try to close it, we throw anything that has fallen out, yes it's that bad, at the cupboard and slam the door as fast as possible, hopefully the door will close before anything else falls out lol. Wow, you are such a hard working Mom! Your breakfast sandwiches look yummy😋 What do you and your husband eat for breakfast? (I didn’t see your sandwiches in the video?) I see that you are an amazing Mom and the sunshine of the family☀️. Please stay healthy and take good care of yourself, too💕😊

You are so dedicated to making them nice meals! As you were painstakingly putting each bagle in the toaster while the eggs were baking I kept wondering if putting them on a baking sheet and throwing them in the oven would make things easier on you? I know every oven is different tho so maybe you tried it already and decided no ...you are very efficient as I am sure it's a must in running your household.😀 I can't believe how you remember all their preferences! I barely remember my two kids preferences lolol

I couldn’t even make 2 meals in under an hour for only one person - me. lmao. I like watching her efficiency techniques, things she cuts out that just don’t matter in the long run. Fascinating, inspiring, amazing!

I would love a video about the less fun side of things! Kids are lovely but they all have their moments. I’m interested in how you handle less than desirable behavior, attitudes with teens, how you handle things like that with the new ones, fighting amongst the siblings, etc etc. You are doing amazing! Much more than I could ever do. I have a 9 month old & my 4 year old stepdaughter who gives me a run for my money DAILY, 4 going on 14 🥴😂 CHEERS TO YOU MAMA - I salute you !!

I don't think she would ever expose the kids that way. Who would want their worst day or behavior they regret posted on fb?
@summerthompson32842 жыл бұрын
I agree, Suzn… no one wants their bad days seen by millions. BUT maybe she could chat about how she handles these situations without naming any names. I only have 3 (all boys) and some days I could really use some tips and tricks on how to help them when they’re having a hard time. I think all the mothers of young kids could use it!

With all due respect and no offense intended I feel clearly, she’s wisely protective and 100% right to post the side that she wants to post so that her family won’t be exploited during vulnerable times. We understand the other and personally I’m not interested in seeing such on display here. Anything else would be reckless. Her choices in problem resolution with her children are private and exposing such would open her to horrific critique because everyone governs their homes differently. I think it’s wise for her to share positive content. I also feel it’s wise for her to vigilantly guard and not expose other areas of her life so that her children and husband are reassured that their home life is not constantly exposed to the public. She has the portion of her family that she shares for the holistic health of her family, and some she doesn’t for the same reasons. I do not agree that sharing certain parts of your life publicly gives others the right to become invasive of other private areas. She chooses what content she posts on her social media platforms and is doing very well. I applaud her choices. 🙌🏾

I agree with others that Alicia hardly will expose that sort of things, but I see your point. I think that some people who are watching these videos from this channel sometimes feel a little...umm...guilty of not being as good mom as Alicia is. It seems like in the videos that everything is so perfect in this family: kids are all happy, well-fed, loved, the fridge is always full, the house is clean, mommy and daddy are so caring, and that everything is so peaceful, quite and under control. So some moms can feel some guilt because they think "Look at her, she has 12 kids, and I have only one (two or three, whatever) and cannot be as organized.

@@angelineadams3824 Maybe but it's already exploitative to put them on social media. Already debatable and others said you could do it anonymous. She has mentioned private details plenty of times actually from some traumas, mental health diagnoses, and even left in bits like Harlee pooping herself. So I mean really...if they leave it anonymous it could be informative and educational. 🤷♀️

Omg I love that you keep it real. Ketchup sandwiches, not a problem:) Ppl may get all upset, but you have to feed them what they will eat. I had one I had to take a vanilla shake to one every day for lunch because he would not eat lunch no matter what. Lunch ladies at school would offer him everything under the sun but he just had no appetite. So I resorted to taking him a milkshake to school for lunch with extra protein. You do what you gotta do for them to eat. You are super mom!

So impressive, and your calmness is such a blessing! If I may offer a couple helpful egg hints, (someone may have suggested already). To minimize the dreaded egg shell crack in the egg, crack your egg against the flat counter, not the side of a bowl or pan. If egg shell does end up in the dish, use the empty shell half to grab the egg piece out. The little bugger of a shell is attracted to the larger shell half, no clue why this eorks- but, it does. Just a suggestion to make one if your jobs a tiny bit easier :) God bless you, your husband, and your beautiful children.

It would relieve you of so much if the older ones pitched in & it does teach them much needed life skills. It's also good bonding time. Some of my most favorite memories with my kids were made in the kitchen, cooking together.

The thing is y’all don’t know how much the older ones pitch in off camera. This is early in the morning before school when the children should be asleep or just waking up. They need their sleep for school and developmental reasons.

Hey, something you might find handy is a toaster oven. I can fit 6 bagels in mine and my friend can do 8 in hers. To thicken the runny tuna, I used a cheese cloth and strained it. If you ball it up and squeeze a ton of water comes out. P.S. YOU ROCK LADY. I have a hard time keeping up with my two 9 months old. This is so inspiring.

Just get the cheap sandwhich size plastic containers from walmart, bpa free, usually clear with red lid, you can get 4 or 5 for $3 or less, they are perfect for sandwiches, just not good in microwave even though it says they are and they are easy to clean and sandwiches won't get smashed! Just a suggestion from a meal prepper! And this would greatly improve cost since you make so many sandwiches and this could get you by til the bento boxes arrive, great idea on the capri sun!

Love that you feed your family homemade food. -Try cracking your eggs on a flat area rather than edge of bowl- I was taught that along time ago to prevent shells from going into whatever your making. Hi Alicia👋👋👋 Did you know when a pc of egg shell gets into the bowl to take a half of the cracked eggshell and dip it close by the pc and like a magnet it’ll go to the 1/2 shell and u ca pull it out easily? It works, at least it has for me, I learned it on KZbin💁🏻♀️ I’m definitely gonna try cooking my eggs in the muffin tin, that looks so much easier and nicer to me for sandwich purposes, the bagels too, in the oven it’s so much easier, thank you for sharing🙏 Prayers all goes smoothly as the new children and all of you adjust, I hope you all have a blessed day♥️💫✨👼🏻✨💫♥️

Good morning Alicia, if you place a paper towel between the layers of pre-cooked bacon before microwaving, it’ll come out a bit crisper and the pieces won’t clump together. To have less runny tuna ,drain as much fluid out as possible while it’s still in the can and add a bit less mayo. Don’t forget the celery salt 😊! You’re doing an Awesome job!!!
