I always wondered why you cut Bree’s sandwich different than the others, the fact that you cut it that way because that’s how her biological mom cut it for her is very kind of you to give her that motherly comfort. Something so simple probably gives her the most comfort. Opening her lunch bag seeing that sandwich cut the way her bio mom would cut it probably puts a huge smile. You are truly an amazing, caring mother.

As a 36 year old picky eater, I just have to say, I am SO impressed that you do not judge your kids different tastes, you make them what you know they will eat, even if that means making 12 different lunches. I so admire that you don't just make them "eat what you made" and let them get something else if they don't like the dinner. I also do this with my kids (I only have 2) because as an adult I don't like certain things so I don't eat them, why should my kids have to as well? Also, I am the person who can't handle chewy chicken and it will stop my from eating, so thank you on behalf of those kids for your consideration about that! I also can't do ground beef because of the gristle inside. I only use ground turkey in everything I cook because of it.

I lost her shortly before Mother’s Day and so this weekend for me is horrible. Watching you and your family give me a measure of peace that I really haven’t had in quite some time. I’m divorced now and I don’t have kids and was an only child so weekends like this that are all about family? Yeah they kind of suck. I completely recognize that not everybody has a great relationship with their mother. For those of you that do, and are still lucky enough to have her with you make sure you give her an extra hug this weekend. For those that don’t have the best relationship, find someone who means something to you and give them the extra hug this weekend. Sorry - off the soapbox now. I’m Canadian 🇨🇦 so I had to add the sorry 🙂

Wow, you are a super mom!! You are an absolute Earth Angel to adopt so many children and include their bio-parents for special occasions. Honey, they should be buying you gifts for being the best mom for their children but I realize that you are doing it for the children. God bless you and your family.

I have read some of the comments and while some of them have a point, they are not in the Dougherty dozens shoes. Being adopted I appreciate the way they make sure the children have all they need,be it food, clothes,or electronics,as we all know not all if many are treated as such. I understand the curiosity of others considering their finances, but once again,it is not our business. I believe she has given the children a chance at normalcy, and feel as if they don't want to be on social media they are allowed to say so. Those children are not silenced in their quest to be children. I personally would have gone insane at the noise of crying children but that's expected. As it has been stated so many of the children have food aversion, at least they are eating. You see her buy very few things for herself. Wine coolers,creamer..Oh wow...Tar and feather her..It doesn't matter how much she spends on food,or how she makes lunches, or cooks breakfast, and dinner. They are taking care of children whom otherwise would be lost in the system. Yes, we can condem, critique and complain, but why? The most important thing everyone misses is the Love they so freely give to the children, and other family members. Yes,it is chaotic, loud, and oh so very, very busy. And as with everything that is on KZbin, ticktoc,Instagram it is your choice not to watch or watch them.. no one is making you. I had 4 children under 4 and if I hadn't been organized know I would have been insane. Yes,it is uncouth to fart, but hey, real life and I'm pretty sure it wasn't on purpose. It is easy to judge others.. I do and have, not often but I do. I would rather give credit where credit is due, instead of looking for the negatives. I have only recently been following them, but admire anyone who gets up at 4 a.m. to make bread, cook breakfast, prepare dinner and take children to their chosen schools only to come home and do the same for the other children. I admire her for saying "my children"

As a younger woman with zero kids just yet you make me feel so excited to want to make my kids a home-cooked meal and even packed lunch because, I hated my school lunches and this allows kids to get a good portion of nutrition

I enjoy watching you and your beautiful family. You and your husband truly are a wonderful pair. I've seen you prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I have seen you and your family eat dinner, it was the Easter video. Do you think that one morning you could do a video of the children eating breakfast, and heading off to school? I know you drive the two newest children to their current schools, but it would nice to see a morning routine. God bless you and your family!

I have 3 kids and u remember more about 12 them I can about 3. Granted 2 of mine are grown and my last one is almost 17 but still. You are an amazing mom. I love seeing u shop and remember exactly what each kid likes etc. U clearly love your family so much. I was adopted and love seeing other adoption success stories in action because they show so many bad examples on the news etc.

I love hearing about your open adoptions. But hearing about the Mother’s Day calls and visits was so heartwarming. It must be a kind of difficult day for the mothers who have had their children adopted out at older ages and due to issues that brought them to foster care. It’s touching for all of you mothers involved, but those children are really blessed that you foster that love and such openness.

Did you know that the food safety guidelines say NOT to wash you chicken anymore… that it’s already cleaned and by “washing” it at home it just spreads bacteria & that the bacteria will be cooked off of the chicken once it’s cooked anyway 🐓🍗 God bless your Family 🕊💛🙏

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there/ Alicia love how you show the kids how much you love them every day. I love how you put what they like in their lunch bags and how you make sure to put their names on every lunch bag, so they know it is their favorite meal.

Im relaxing & watching you on Christmas Day 2023. Love your down to earth efficiency. The choc chip quick bread looks delicious but Id back off a cup of sugar I think. Having 4 in 6yrs as a single mom the last thing I needed was hyper on sugar... I did two loaves of cheap white bread left untied for french toast cooked on dbl griddles and used a box of pancake mix in one go. Id zip bag the rest for microwaved easy peasiness. Id dbl that with your brood lol... Id get up and cook set the table then wake em up... Ill share a few great one pot suppers another time. Bless you and your beautiful family. We were lucky to have dear friends who adopted 15 and fostered the 5 limit. They had my boys over all the time....❤🎉

You are super mom! You have a lot of love and energy! I’m just wondering if You banging around in the kitchen, talking loud, using the mixer and washing your stuff at 5am. wake up any of the 12 kids and 2+ adults! I would make all the kids the same stuff (unless they are allergic) and say eat it or starve lol! That’s a lot to remember and do every day! Great job!

Sitting here watching this video reminded me of your video going or needing to go and buy Brown sugar because yours became hard. There is a disc you can get to put in the bag once opened to help keep it soft. But my mom use to put a piece of bread in after it was opened. Thanks for sharing your family and the inspirational videos.

you are sweet and loopy - I'm a lot like you. I can't remember recipes either. My kitchen is crammed as well, and I bake like you :) Who needs exact measurements? I am adjusting to the smallest group of kiddos I've had I think ever and the youngest is 13!! That's wild to me. I don't know how many years I have said just pose for a nice family photo that's all I want LOL :) You tossing your cleaning spray back in to the cupboard made me laugh out loud! This is the way I have lived my life and it has been deeply fulfilling. Anyhow, bless you and keep up the great job :)

I'm a mom of four, number five on the way. Your videos fascinate me. I don't think i could get that much done in less than an hour, even if everything is prepped. But you are doing it right in front of me lol, and while you keep moving and working, it doesn't seem too rushed or panicked like i would be. Anyway, if i had to describe you and your brood with three words, i think it would be: Mind over matter.
