I always wondered why you cut Bree’s sandwich different than the others, the fact that you cut it that way because that’s how her biological mom cut it for her is very kind of you to give her that motherly comfort. Something so simple probably gives her the most comfort. Opening her lunch bag seeing that sandwich cut the way her bio mom would cut it probably puts a huge smile. You are truly an amazing, caring mother.

Some people’s choice for their children hasn’t anything to do with their own ego. Sometimes the situation and child calls for different protections. Some bio parents are still too emotionally damaging to be a part of the child’s life. And some children are too traumatised to handle dealing with a bio Parent till they are older.

Took this whole video to get six individual seed pots started and a small tray filled with soil and flower seeds! As a 36 year old picky eater, I just have to say, I am SO impressed that you do not judge your kids different tastes, you make them what you know they will eat, even if that means making 12 different lunches. I so admire that you don't just make them "eat what you made" and let them get something else if they don't like the dinner. I also do this with my kids (I only have 2) because as an adult I don't like certain things so I don't eat them, why should my kids have to as well? Also, I am the person who can't handle chewy chicken and it will stop my from eating, so thank you on behalf of those kids for your consideration about that! I also can't do ground beef because of the gristle inside. I only use ground turkey in everything I cook because of it.

Okay.. I have reply comments below in a couple of the items but I need to add this as a stand-alone comment. Thank you for your videos. I am 57 and lost my mother 35 years ago. I lost her shortly before Mother’s Day and so this weekend for me is horrible. Watching you and your family give me a measure of peace that I really haven’t had in quite some time. I’m divorced now and I don’t have kids and was an only child so weekends like this that are all about family? Yeah they kind of suck. I completely recognize that not everybody has a great relationship with their mother. For those of you that do, and are still lucky enough to have her with you make sure you give her an extra hug this weekend. For those that don’t have the best relationship, find someone who means something to you and give them the extra hug this weekend. Sorry - off the soapbox now. I’m Canadian 🇨🇦 so I had to add the sorry 🙂

I always dump 3/4 of the box in a jar and put the rest in your fridge to help with any food odours. Looking forward to learning more about your channel. Hi Alicia👋👋👋 You’re such an incredible human, your heart is huge, I commend you for enabling your adopted children to see their biological parents, I don’t think every one would be the same so freely and therefore I feel that they should do whatever possible to make things easier for you, especially if they’re wanting to spend time with their kids, you go above and beyond therefore a little inconvenience for them should be no issue at all as a matter of fact it should be a blessing. I can’t remember my mom making lunches for me let alone getting breakfast on the table for me before school, she worked full-time🤷🏻‍♀️ regardless I honestly don’t remember her doing that for me or my brothers. I hope you have a happy and blessed Mother’s Day and everyday. TYFS, Happy Mothers Day! Enjoy and be blessed♥️💫✨👼🏻✨💫♥️

I just bumped into one of your videos and I am so glad I did. I just want to say “ God bless you for keeping the birth mom in the kids lives as well”. Not to ramble on but I unfortunately got with the wrong crowd when I was younger and it totally messed me up to the point I lost my daughters. However myself and my daughters were not as lucky and we were kept apart. On a good note though…I’m 100 % clean and sober now and I have a healthy relationship with both of my daughters and my new grand baby. Just know all the kids are going to respect you so much for everything you do. You rock!!!

Really love how organised you are and that you have a system for each part of what you need to get ready, including grouping everything so it's ready when you need it. First time watching and I'm impressed! Is that a reusable cover for the slow cooker or do you buy them individually? I've never seen one before but can tell it would make cleaning up much easier once you're done!

But you are doing it right in front of me lol, and while you keep moving and working, it doesn't seem too rushed or panicked like i would be. Anyway, if i had to describe you and your brood with three words, i think it would be: Mind over matter.

I love hearing about your open adoptions. But hearing about the Mother’s Day calls and visits was so heartwarming. It must be a kind of difficult day for the mothers who have had their children adopted out at older ages and due to issues that brought them to foster care. It’s touching for all of you mothers involved, but those children are really blessed that you foster that love and such openness.

I have read some of the comments and while some of them have a point, they are not in the Dougherty dozens shoes. Being adopted I appreciate the way they make sure the children have all they need,be it food, clothes,or electronics,as we all know not all if many are treated as such. I understand the curiosity of others considering their finances, but once again,it is not our business. I believe she has given the children a chance at normalcy, and feel as if they don't want to be on social media they are allowed to say so. Those children are not silenced in their quest to be children. I personally would have gone insane at the noise of crying children but that's expected. As it has been stated so many of the children have food aversion, at least they are eating. You see her buy very few things for herself. Wine coolers,creamer..Oh wow...Tar and feather her..It doesn't matter how much she spends on food,or how she makes lunches, or cooks breakfast, and dinner. They are taking care of children whom otherwise would be lost in the system. Yes, we can condem, critique and complain, but why? The most important thing everyone misses is the Love they so freely give to the children, and other family members. Yes,it is chaotic, loud, and oh so very, very busy. And as with everything that is on KZbin, ticktoc,Instagram it is your choice not to watch or watch them.. no one is making you. I had 4 children under 4 and if I hadn't been organized know I would have been insane. Yes,it is uncouth to fart, but hey, real life and I'm pretty sure it wasn't on purpose. It is easy to judge others.. I do and have, not often but I do. I would rather give credit where credit is due, instead of looking for the negatives. I have only recently been following them, but admire anyone who gets up at 4 a.m. to make bread, cook breakfast, prepare dinner and take children to their chosen schools only to come home and do the same for the other children. I admire her for saying "my children"

When most people think they need kitchens with all the gadgets that are often the size of a small house, I’m impressed you get by with your small kitchen. My mom raised the three of us kids and had holidays and parties for extended relatives in a kitchen that was even a bit smaller than yours. She would have loved that big counter you prepare on. We all really don’t need what we’ve come to expect over the years.

Im relaxing & watching you on Christmas Day 2023. Love your down to earth efficiency. The choc chip quick bread looks delicious but Id back off a cup of sugar I think. Having 4 in 6yrs as a single mom the last thing I needed was hyper on sugar... I did two loaves of cheap white bread left untied for french toast cooked on dbl griddles and used a box of pancake mix in one go. Id zip bag the rest for microwaved easy peasiness. Id dbl that with your brood lol... Id get up and cook set the table then wake em up... Ill share a few great one pot suppers another time. Bless you and your beautiful family. We were lucky to have dear friends who adopted 15 and fostered the 5 limit. They had my boys over all the time....❤🎉

Snack ideas for later, deviled eggs, tuna, chicken , or egg salad on crackers or finger sandwiches if you have leftover rye bread you could use that or cocktail rye breads. Peanut butter and or jelly crackers peanut butter with apples or bananas, fluff and peanut butter on gram crackers. Golden gram bars with chocolate chips. My rice crispy bars one cup peanut butter added to the original recipe in place of the butter. Spread melted chocolate chips on top. The rest is the same as normal recipe.
