Great content mate. If I remember correctly, I used the Mazda Lm55 VGT GR1 to complete this menu. As to the race itself, I reckon I'd have followed Wong into the pits, & gone Softs. They'd easily last 4 laps, and have the added security of fresh tyres that will generate the heat faster. All told, negating the worn tyre/losing grip scenario.

yeah I hear really good things about the LM55, I really need to try it. I was really torn on the strat at the time, I went safe in the end, its such a good race, we need more races like this!

I just use the LM55 on Lean. That's it. That car is stupid good on fuel, so I just no pit most of the Gr1 races with ease. So instead of trying to fight the whole pack pit to pit, I just negate their "Gran Turismo Chase Lead" by never stopping. And the LM55 in weather... so good.

I won a SuperFormula 23 early game and didn't have a reason to use it till now. Just put on racing hards and leaned out the fuel map, no problem.

My favourite race too. Followed by Fuji in Gr1 which can have rain on the odd occasion.

Ended up using the free Christmas Red bull we got for the gr1 races as some of them don't even have gr1 as a regulation, just 950pp

I used the Audi VGT. Pit once (end of 4th lap due to rain) , full power, RM tires. Also controller + automatic

As for the "Difficulty" settings in GT7, it's full on stupid. There is zero incentive in game to do Solo Mode races on anything past Easy. It's just more stress, exact same payout. It's a big issue (imo) on GT7. There is no handicap bonus or difficulty bonus. If there was, 70% of the Solo Races would be considerably more...relevant.

after about 30+ attempts I got this one done. In the rain, driving as automatic with controller and using directional buttons for steering. If I can do it anyone can!

It’s a tough one. Super Formula might be a good option too. Compared to my last video you probably don’t need to de tune it as much with the new PP calculations.

I’ve managed to beat all the three races easily with the porsche group c car (962 C if I’m not mistaken); overall I find them better than the modern ones (and it’s marvelous downgraded for 800pp races too)

Fully agree with the difficulty statement of this race. Not sure but I was thinking the Peugeot VGT used to be in this race, been a while though

Yeah that car used to dominate but now it seems the 908 is really strong. In other news. Reserve Driver is back on the channel tomorrow with a cracking race from the back 🔥

@@Doughtinator It wasn't in your race, when you said the Peugeot I assumed it was the VGT until you caught it so made a point of looking after and it wasnt in the race. It's actually a really good car. Hybrid kicks in between 3-4th gear and whilst it fully depletes, it fully regenerates every braking zone so you have hybrid all race, and with it not being used in the 1st couple of gears its really beneficial

I did have to go trough big rain💀, i was try the medium medium at first, but my game was thinking well no, you gonna die 😂 2. attempt ill go on inters but the rain was trying me hard, but im happy with my 2nd :)

908 is a good choice. I’ve not tried it at this race but I think it’ll be good.

Though I’ve not tried it. I think the 908 would be very good for this. Good fuel efficiency and good downforce 👍🏻👍🏻

@@Doughtinator Thanks, I tried it multiple times but the best I could do was 8th place so I decided to buy the Super Formula Honda SF19 after my initial comment and on the first try I won the race with only one pit stop I adjusted the downforce a bit, set the fuel mapping to 5 and I used racing soft tyres and I was able to keep up even with the rain

I learned with the hard way, that Buggati gr.1 vision isnt a good recommendation for this race...
