Fibber Swinney stated back in 2004 he would 'axe' the Council Tax. Instead his Govt. actively pursue those who are unable (not unwilling) to pay, by deducting at source from people's wages and benefits overdue Council Tax. People can lead healthier lives if they can afford decent food. His party also state they wish to eradicate child poverty, yet they demand those on benefits pay the highest percentage of their only income on this unfair Tax. They then use this income to promote agendas, while those in Council Tax debt go hungry.

Well the EEC started closing mines in many regions on the basis of a 40 year transition to new industries and regional rejuvenation not closing the entire industry within 2 years providing no support and killing all non service industries the length of the UK - pumping oil at 3m BBL/pd to pay for the policy. Interesting the Tories always run to the Energy sector for revenue when they have crashed out, 75% windfall tax on current UK oil production 550K BBL/pd is not sustainable. There may be a small flaw with the Tory 'Services' policy; like post Brexit there is now a €0.6T difference between the EU Trade balance and the UK trade deficit - it wasn't that great pre Brexit at least pre Brexit the BoP was not a black hole.

As for the obsession with Brexit surely that is the remit of those who wouldn't accept the result of the biggest democratic vote that the UK has had. We might have had a better trade deal if when it was put to Parliament the SNP hadn't abstained as a result the deal that we now have was accepted with a majority of around 7 votes. If he thinks that the 9 years of austerity from 2010 to 2019 was bad, the austerity that would have to be experienced by Scotland if god forbid they ever gained independence would make those years look like a boom time. Particularly as they want to rid themselves of oil and gas revenues ( something that the 2014 indyref. was predicated upon.

Why didnt the SNP appoint a minister for the "wellbeing" of men, when they established the same ministerial position to consider the wellbeing of women? Why didnt the SNP, or indeed Holyrood in unity, appoint a minister for men, as we have a minister for women? Why couldnt SNP, in its continuous game of political one upmanship with Westminster...... give scottish men a "mans day" in Holyrood?
