Let's give the guy (or gal) who put together this compilation together a serious round of applause. All the video and audio is clear, and all of the performances are complete with judges comments. This was all done before DVR's and was not easy to compile and preserve and it's a great service for people (like me) who like to go back and watch past performances of some of the best Idol contestants. Many of them are missing/lost but I'm SO glad that Katherine's performances are all saved!

I just found this and I am so happy I did! I loved her on American Idol. I loved her in Smash. I loved her in Scorpion. And now I love her in Country Comfort. She is a truly amazing young woman. I am glad she is happily married to David Foster. I have enjoyed watching her quarantine variety show with David! She is and always will be the one who should have won that season.

That was the most beautiful vocal performance I had and still to this day, ever heard. Simon nailed this and she took us to heaven. Listening to that hick singing that duo "time of my life" was just embarrassing...man America got it SOOOO WRKNG. But its thr "losers" on this show that REALLY win. They can be courted by record labels and all the other great stuff in their lives. Idol "winners" are treated like circus animals..literally from the second they step off stage their life is no more their own.

I'm hoping you are talking about after this competition. From her audition, throughout most of the competition, I wasn't buying what she was singing. She was constantly following the cameras, instead of sing to her audients that most likely paid a lot of money to get a ticket. In the song suggested near the end of the competition for her, there she showed as if she was living or had lived what she was singing about, she wasn't following the camera, and she wasn't over singing it. There she was awesome, but for the rest of the competition, I thought she was using her sex appeal more than her talent. I think if she's learned to sing with true emotion, without thinking she is high and mighty, then she must be awesome to see because the talent is there, as long as she doesn't over sing the song. When she goes to high sometimes it sounds like a cat scratching on a chalk board.

thanks Fernando pray with me ok, amen....Great singing job...wahoo...And about her, maybe i am biased? I do agree she chose songs she liked... or was given songs not in her best range. Yet, the judges were very hard on her at times. Many sing Whitney songs, never hearing, "wrong song for you, you are not Whitney!" Whitney was not the best Whitney until she became it. Katharine was and is aspiring to be her best. She has a kind caring heart, ..which her husband should be very thankful for .David Foster who needs Jesus forgiveness and salvation Amazing Grace. ​ Well it's no secret she has the most famous song writer who she worked with on the show when she sang Whitney's I have Nothing (without you). Selected for her to sing Andre Bocelli agreed on the choice and the judges slammed her but if it didn't have Whitney's name attached to it.They woulda gone crazy for it. They have her bigger props for songs she sang worse. I don't think it's fair to compare it to the original singers performance. If they do then why when the contestant puts their own spin on it and then commend them for it, that makes no sense at all. BTW...I'm sure you know Catherine McPhee is married to David Foster there best song writer who has had hundreds of song go to number one, most of them he discovered. All top shelf singers as well

Hard to believe this was ten years ago. I missed that season so I really enjoyed watching this recap of her journey. I first saw her in Smash where she was amazing. She gave me the chills that only true talent gives you. Watching this journey I fell in love with her voice, her smile, her laugh, her hair, the way she made love to the camera and her dancing. She is the total package, no question. Hard to believe she didn't win this season. Good that she's still around in Scorpion. Haven't seen much of Taylor since he won.

+GoogleIsScary To those who may happen across this upload, who are Katharine fans, and who may wish to read and/or comment, I offer this lengthy follow-up…. I remember when I first discovered American Idol. It was during Season 5. I was channel surfing and, BAMB, there was an image of Katharine McPhee. I immediately stopped surfing … and I’ve been an AI addict ever since. This year (Season 15) is American Idol’s last. While I will miss it, methinks it is time for AI to go into television’s history book. I will always remember the many hours I spent watching AI -- and I will never forget Katharine. That said, beware: critical comments follow. As I watched and re-watched these three hours of “Kat’s” songs I became acutely aware of one specific thing: she was off-key A LOT! (How “Katharine” became “Kat” somewhere during the Season perhaps only the producers of AI can explain.) Watching this three hour compilation brought to mind a number of decade-long questions: Does the best singer win? Do the producers manipulate the show? Is the voting rigged? Endless questions…. Alas, and perhaps mercifully, fifteen years of AI is (almost) over. Now I’m gonna go direct my thoughts and criticisms at “The Voice!”

ikr how cool is that...pray with me ok, amen....Great singing job...wahoo...And about her, maybe i am biased? I do agree she chose songs she liked... or was given songs not in her best range. Yet, the judges were very hard on her at times. Many sing Whitney songs, never hearing, "wrong song for you, you are not Whitney!" Whitney was not the best Whitney until she became it. Katharine was and is aspiring to be her best. She has a kind caring heart, ..which her husband should be very thankful for .David Foster who needs Jesus forgiveness and salvation Amazing Grace. Yes, and like i was too, he is a twirp, with a prenup too. but they seem to be doing good. it is his 6th marriage, and he says he is a runner, leaves when it is not good for him...leaving behind numbers of children forgotten...but recently he seems to be visiting with some of them on Sundays. Back to the future...i think it has been dimmed for her by association....but with God all things are possible. Please pray with me for her to be her best and for David Foster also.

It's amazing how much she's grown since this time on American Idol. I love her...always have. Her voice now for me is really in it's prime. It was still developing here, but technically amazing of course.

Katharine is an awesome singer my favorite performances from her was Somewhere Over The Rainbow and All In Love Is Fair. Simon said that everyone is going to forget that performance... but why did no one forget that performance? If it was forgettable then she would have been in the bottom three and honestly that was her second best performance to date and is very memorable.

The judges were really hard on Katharine, I thought. Simon was right about Over The Rainbow.......I cried. Katharine has had a great career since and even sang on stage with Andrea Boccelli. You have to be good for that. She's also a great actress. She didnt win idol but she did win just from being there.

It’s so strange seeing her with David Foster, now her husband! I saw her in Morton’s restaurant right after Idol and she was sitting with a bunch of people who looked like agents, etc. I had to go up and tell her how beautiful her voice was and that she was going to be a big star. She was so cute, she jumped up and gave me the biggest hug !
