Really money is way more important than monarch points in meiou and taxes, and I'm very thankful for that. Whereas before the prosperity of your nation was based on luck alone, now you can build up your nation and its institutions through skill. Plus all the new feautures that make the game harder, make it also way more fun. Well done dovska and well done creator of this mod.
@Worldslargestipod7 жыл бұрын
Does this mod work with the current patches? If I launch it with the most recent EU4 patch, the game will crash at the launch screen. If I revert to a previous version, the mod will say it's incompatible with that version.

This mod looks amazing. Seems like the creator put a lot of effort into having the player administer their lands and conduct proper diplomacy in this, rather than blob endlessly. I doubt I'll be seeing any Ryukyu One-Tags out of this mod though.
@Dovska7 жыл бұрын
I see that as a very good thing TBH. After having done nothing but blob in all my other timelapse videos it feels pretty good to play somewhat tall and more historically realistic :)
@eriksmith60897 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I think one of the bigger issues with EU4 is how easy it is to conquer other countries, how one-off an issue over-extension is, how there's very little rivalry between neighboring countries because somebody gets eaten straight-away and then it's just snowballing from there. You having difficulty counter-invading Malta, for example, was super cool to me, because they bothered to simulate the difficulty of invading into mountains, as well as the population growth factor. Definitely gonna have to check this mod out.
@andypaul15037 жыл бұрын
Having never seen an MEIOU run before, I found it a welcome change to see this! the focus seems to be much more local, than global, given how, as you noted, you had to go through the inner logistics of setting up minor capitals, and acquiring roads. It seemed much more realistic for how nations would have actually grown, instead of the whole "small nation owning china" that can be found. I really want to give it a try now, if I can find some way to learn the logistics of it.

The ottomans usually tend to blob quite badly until 1700. That's usually (at least in every single campaign ive ran) their massive modifiers (jannisaries) run out, they get overrun by rebels, enter too many wars, lose all the manpower and slowly start crumbling.

I love your videos because you play so immersive and make the timelapse into a great story, most EU4 timelapses are just a showoff how big you can blob which is very boring (unless it's a mongolia run), you always show the struggle and epicness of the great battles and rivalries. I fucking love this mod the fact alone that the ottomans full annexed the mamluks and the AI attacked you when you were weakest is next gen technology in terms of strategy gaming, and the regional capitals are cool too. The only bad thing here is the ottomans staying in an alliance with you for pretty much the entire game and refusing to attack you even when you were quite weak. Other than that, might be my favorite game of all time
