Dowling...... the way it was in the mid 60's

my parents had a big trailer in munroe,s trailer park, behind the texaco gas bar, they later opened a restaurant and pool hall, its now an apt.we later bought a house on roberta st.

Hi Jim, thanks for your comments. Gisele and I left for Cuba the next day after posting that video. We just got back home about 1 1/2 hours ago and checking the video I am pleasantly surprised by the number of views it has. My dad could never imagine back then that 53 or 54 years later his video would be viewed by residents, both former and present, thousands of times..... 3,237 views right now. I am glad people enjoy viewing the video and hopefully future residents will too. Michael.

Hmmm, seems like generations of Sawicz's are bringing us the town of Dowling. Isn't that something! Notice how much snow there is and not one house has snow on the roof, interesting.

Hi Rob, trying hard to keep those traditions going :) My dad got me interested in photography at a young age. It was a hobby he liked. A drone gives you that picture or video that you cannot get any other way at a very reasonable cost.

Yes! I grew up there most of my life. It's because we get so much snow, but the temperature is high enough that during clear days, the sun combined with our home heating melts the snow off the roof.

Hi Dan. I remember your mom, a nice lady. Like I replied to Jim Mathiasen it is nice my dad recorded this video and that it lasted fairly well all these years, over 50. Good to see many residents that live here now like the video.
