Excellent rendition of this classical love song..... Best version I've heard.

Our song. Slow dancing in the front room in heyford singing in my ear. The mom I remember 🤍🌈💜

This song helped me come out of a catatonic state. After having a major breakdown i was still mostly a shell of my former self and one night this came on the TV . Having loved Celtic music, it stirred some part of my soul which still recognized beauty. I began to slowly get better thanks to time and meds, but this was literally a changing point.. That was several years ago and I will always remember this song.

Uplifting to read your experience. Music is so powerful. It has 'kept me together' these past 4 years, (also poetry where there is great solace to be found) since the love of my life was taken from me. Keep listening!

Cindy Reed - thats a beautiful way to remember a piece of art or music. God bless you in your recovery and your future life. I'm sure the band and Moya Brennan would be proud they could do that for you. It is a beautiful song and the words from WB Yeats

Down by the salley gardens my love and I did meet; She passed the salley gardens with little snow-white feet. She bid me take love easy, as the leaves grow on the tree; But I, being young and foolish, with her would not agree. In a field by the river my love and I did stand, And on my leaning shoulder she laid her snow-white hand. She bid me take life easy, as the grass grows on the weirs; But I was young and foolish, and now am full of tears.
