CURRENT SCHEDULE
Expect a new video every Wednesday and Sunday at 11AM Central!
How Farms Work by Ryan Kuster is a KZbin channel based in rural Potosi, Wisconsin. Our mission is to teach those who didn't grow up on a farm what the farming life is like. These videos show the Kuster family working together raising cattle and crops. We believe everyone who wants to know more about farming should be able to share the farming experience with us and we look to educate the world on many essential agriculture topics.
How Farms Work takes place on ~1,100 acres with around 75-200 cattle at any given time. Four John Deere tractors are currently used on the farm, which are a 4020, 4640, 7600, and 8235R.

I cannot imagine how great the air must smell when you are mowing with such a large mower!☺

At least you are inside a cab. Helps a little. I have had a crop duster sneak up behind me on an open tractor more than once. Talk about coming out of your seat!

Hey Ryan! That ground sure looked pretty soft like you were making tire ruts. Hopefully it all dries out and springs back. 😊

We got buzzed by a plane when we were chopping corn at the end of a private runway. I could read the tire brand as it went over the chopper beside me! All good, just unexpected. I love your drone footage!👍👍

Great Video Ryan, have you seen that Kuhn produce a trailed (towed) double mower, when combined with a front mower you can mow huge widths, thanks for sharing

Hi from oz ryan. That was just a baby plane. When i was on the family farm the valley was used by the airforce for low level training by f 18 hornets. Getting buzzed by them is really a bad experience. You think the motor has blown up as they go over you.

Yep. Grass will mold so bad the cows would rather starve than eat it but it can still seem like good dry material

The hood on the tractor sure is moving around. Really rough field? Not latched all the way? Or a broken mount?

I had to chuckle at the beginning of this video. A couple of days ago, I was watching face book videos and came across one with an older Deere that had been repowered and was heading out to cut hay with a Mow-co. The tractor had duals on it too, and the first comment was “ You can’t cut hay with duals on.” Too many armchair quarterbacks out there. 🙄

Just sad to leave a functional classic on the sidelines. And less wear n’ tear on the 79 if it’s the designated planting tractor.
