I had the most painful experience as a doctor. A baby girl was born with Downs. Later she was brought by her sobbing mother at midnight. No other family member.turns out she was divorced that day for producing a "defective" child. I wanted to strangle the husband and the in laws. The young mother was crying but she was very strong.her parents came later to fetch her and were so happy to see their grandchild. Even with a syndrome,she was the apple of everyone's eyes.the husband tried to choke her.grabbing her neck by bare hands.the lady was strong enough that she hit her husband with a chair on his head to protect the little girl and that's why she had to come to nicu. She was discharged 2 days later by my senior doctor. I was merely an intern at that time. Later I got to meet the baby girl. Nine years later, I was an attending and met the girl accidently. She was so happy with her mom and her new father. The lady remarried and this time she married the right one.i could see he loved this girl to death. I just get sad sometimes because the world is so unfair. monsters like rapists and shooters are born normal and this poor girl was deserted because she had Down's.

"They" works as a neutral pronoun, you don't need to use he/she/they as it's redundant. Just "they" like "they are over there" being both plural and singular also, which is a bit confusing. Thats not meant to be rude, English is a hard language and it's just an FYI as I don't know if you are a native speaker or not, but as there as so many languages around the world I assume not.

I was a figure skater from age 6 to 13 (somewhat competitively) until my pain was debilitating and I couldn't even skate a lap around the rink anymore. I can't even wear cheap looser skates. I'm 27 and I've finally resigned myself to never skating again and I'm finally going to sell my $500 figure skates. Sadly, my chronic foot pain and it's finally taking away my second love (maybe I loved it even more than skating), downhill skiing. I've been an advanced downhill skier (also started around the age of 6) and the rest of my family is too and we have numerous trips to big mountains throughout the winter. I've been able to push through the pain with lots of breaks until two years ago. I couldn't even make it down the first run without unbelievable pain. It felt like there were shards of glass in my ski boots. If I hadn't have actually seen my boots before putting them on and felt the pain I'd expect to take them off my boots to find my feet ripped into a bloody pulp. I've also gained a lot of weight since quitting my sports which logically wouldn't help the pain condition but after over 7 podiatrists, 7 chiropodists, chiropractors, physiotherapists, two doctors and a physiatrist.... no one can figure out why I'm in the amount of pain that I'm in. I can't even have my feet resting on the floor or wear shoes for long periods of time. Hopefully my new doctor can give me some answers because I want to fly again too.

I'm a skater not on ice as I live in a place where its to hot to snow the coldest it gets is 3 degrees and I've seen many people bash into walls and that but when you skate competitively it breaks my heart when people aren't allowed to skate because of some sort of injury, oh btw I've seen like 4 year olds out in the rink an their so cute to watch but so annoying because they don't care if they cut someone off and make people fall over and that's happened to me multiple times and I broke my wrist because I was trying to dodge a little kid that just cut me off

Where's the mother in all of this? I'm assuming she is dead or left the family because you'd think making a decision like that would call for consultation with the mother present, not to mention he was injured in an accident, most mothers would drop everything and rush to the hospital, sometimes even when overseas.

Why does it sound like a voice over when he says “so I pushed him into sports”? It also looks like his mouth didn’t move. Did they add that line in post?
@snowflakeedits05
@snowflakeedits05 2 жыл бұрын
It could potentially be ADR. Sometimes actors or actresses are called into voice over some lines if maybe the sound team didn't get a clear take when they were on set (or it wasn't possible to get the sound because of the shot), or because sometimes it's not possible to say the line on set so they have to say it later. Looking at the clip, I'm more inclined to believe the former.

Am I true in saying that the tablets and monitors show the treatment each patient is given so they can charge them? I am totally amazed at the US health system. Everything seems to revolved around money both in cost of treatment and suing the hospital and the doctors for everything a patient isn't happy with?
@wessltov
@wessltov 2 жыл бұрын
It's not just for billing, it's also important the kind of treatment that a patient was given for health reasons. For example, you might have a different doctor on shift, who needs to know your situation in case something goes wrong. Otherwise they might for example prescribe something that shouldn't be given to someone in your condition. In addition, the effectiveness of medications can also point towards certain diagnoses, so keeping a tight record of how treatment affects you helps to ultimately stabilize you

And u think a minor can make life changing decisions?? Do u also think children can marry(unfortunately some countries allow it)/get loans/change gender or be responsible with anything this huge without knowing the implications of their actions. Also the dad would be paying his bills so he decides. If they're mature enough to make legal decisions, surely they can pay their bills? They don't know about this world enough, that's why there's mandatory schooling.
