How the heck is it 2024?! It seems like 1996 was only yesterday!
The pile of boxes yielded quite an... interesting assortment today; very questionable medals in clearly bad cases, a Diplo comparison, helmets, hats and an hour and a half of non-stop Wittmann banter. Tom and Ob go knee deep and shoulder to shoulder into the new year.

Tom, Deb, and Ob would like to thank everyone who have been kind enough to send in gifts. Seriously, you guys are just the best.
I'd like to thank each and every one of you who take the time to watch DtC, and am very grateful to everyone who takes even more time out of their day to comment. In a perfect world Tom or Ob would be able to engage with everyone in the comment section, but alas the world is far from perfect. Tom doesn't know how (and refuses to learn) and Ob is something of a Luddite.

Q: I have a burning question about something in the video! What should I do?!
A: An email sent directly to Tom is the best way to get your question answered, because while he most definitely reads each and every one of your comments, he hasn't quite gotten the hang of replying to them in the comment section, and is not likely to in the foreseeable future. Or ever. Seriously, he still calls KZbin "the U-TOOBZ".

A very interesting episode thanks for all the info Good/bad on all items, yeah the Aussie government lumping collectors with their Biker/hate problems, so sad but not a collector problem, whomever wants to shut Obb up, he is a very solid piece of the Wittmann crew and irreplaceable, his knowledge is gold and one day he will continue on with the legacy, Tom must be very proud of him I think he is a gentleman and scholar of this hobby so thank you Obb and Mr. Wittmann Sr...

The veterans cap is a werkschutz organization insignia. The Werkschutz were the factory police or factory protection, they were formed in 1938 and there were 3 branches of the werkschutz. You had the werkschutz (factory police), werkschutz-feuerwher (factory fire protection) and the wekluftschutz (factory air raid protection)
