I wonder how many cubic ft. of the Normandy beaches is sitting in containers in peoples houses around the world lol.

That’s a Swiss helmet that Ob thought was Italian 🪖It usually has the “Alpenflage” camo pattern liner on them. I had one some years back. Picked it up for 30$ at a local army & navy surplus store. Definitely a cool helmet. Hope that helps guys.

You should do a video showing your process on scabbard dent removal. I’d like to see how it’s done.

Love your videos - true History that one can touch! Considering the painting - it is signed in Russian, it was created in the city of Gomel, Belarus. Artist - Nikolaj Malets. He was born in 1892, full name Nikolaj Pavlovich Malets, he was a teacher - taught art.

I used to sell German WW2 soldier paintings back in the mid 2000s but they were always so difficult to ship and the profits weren't that much compared to just selling original German WW2 photos which I've done since 2001

The queen Victoria story was new to me! Great info as alaways. I'd never collect nazi cutlery etc, but the whole backstory to the luck on the British plates, with the swastika, makes it entirely more fascinating. We all know the new evil symbology, but it's important to remember the historic significance of what it meant, and it's polar opposite to what it means now.

I was watching a newly released WW2 black and white (now in color) documentary and a panzer tank guy was narrating about his unit and mentioned a highly decorated tank commander named Wittmann, have you D.T.C. Wittmann's any relatives who fit that profile, this particular Wittmann was the equivalent of what the Luftwaffe called an Ace, only he was a tank commander, Is Wittmann a really common German name, thanks, I liked this episode... 111...Is that right Ob :)
