Blown away, especially since I'm a new "Whitmann Cellar Dweller" and I've known of Lemmy's collection and read his autobiography. Ozzy Osbourne is another big collector who would trade or give German WWII memorabilia back and forth with Lemmy. It's amazing hearing he was your customer after all that I've read, and also that you're the one who appraised the collection! All I've heard was that it was among of the most prized collections in the states, there's been a ton of interest in acquiring it, and that it was put into storage with no plans yet to sell it. I imagine it's north of $1M, if not more.

Wow Mr Wittmann ... what a nice storie. I remember when I emailed you asking if you knew Lemmy´s collection and your nice reply telling me about his collection. Really nice details , thanks for sharing. I was very fortunate to have my gift, which I gave to Lemmy in 2011 here in Brazil, to see it hung on his living room together with his daggers, 24 framed patches of S S units division. He was really Over the Top.

Well Tom love the stories and this one about lemmy from motorhead was one of the best for me as I played in a rock band in the 70s as well. I've sold militaria to rock stars too not of lemmys Calibre though. Great story of 400 daggers is kinda overwhelming. Loved all the unboxings but that last box those 6 daggers are off the charts almost like time travel to 1940 and pick them off the shelves condition. Thanks for sharing remarkable item. I loved the video

Man, these are awesome pieces!!! One question to the dagger lord, I have a original Luftwaffe etched parade bayonet mady by Pack. However, it does not have offset rivets and it's not the pioneer version. Can you maybe explain how this could occure?

Lemmy has long collected Nazi memorabilia, and has made no excuses for his hobby. In a recent interview he explained his fascination for the sharp togs of Hitler's misadventures: "I'll tell you something about history. From the beginning of time, the bad guys always had the best uniforms. Napoleon, the Confederates, the Nazis. They all had killer uniforms. I mean, the SS uniform is fucking brilliant! They were the rock stars of that time. What you're gonna do? They just look good. Don't tell me, I'm a Nazi 'cause I have uniforms. In 1967 I had my first black girlfriend and a lot of more ever since then. I just don't understand racism, I never thought it was an option."
