Those asphalt patches look rough. Maybe stop them before they seal and get a second opinion. 🤣😂🤣
@dpowerz5182 жыл бұрын
I have plenty of pictures of driveway and parking lots I’ve done with pot hole repair and you can’t even tell they are there. Them patches aren’t done the right way to be sealed if they were cheap you get what you pay for tho. I charge medium rates and I give high quality work! I always show up and always on time! I wouldn’t seal in the afternoon that is ridiculous you get out there early and start your day.

I hope your asphalt guy makes things right because what we've seen so far is just bad work. Glad to see the shop coming together.
@justanotherinternetdude88472 жыл бұрын
Yeah I am watching the little snippets so far and my god, I hope he paid bottom dollar for that work. Anytime a company does work like that and they say that they will be back in the evening, they are saying that in hopes you (the customer) won't be there so they will either not do the work and take the money and run or continue their shitty work and then take the money and run still..
@repz06112 жыл бұрын
Shop is coming along nicely 🇺🇸 The asphalt patch looks a little shady though. Proper way cut out the pothole edges, fill with asphalt, steam roll it and seal the edges. In the video looks like they just threw asphalt over the holes. It will eventually break out again . Get them to do it right
@thflash09msr2 жыл бұрын
As someone who did asphalt for years. Those patch jobs are absolutely terrible. They should have milled those holes out into squares so it looks more professional. They should have also compacted the asphalt with a roller because it looks like they just threw the asphalt in there and compacted it with a shovel. Also make sure it’s nice and warm before they seal coat and they also use a water based paint for the stripping and not a oil based because oil based paints will turn different colors when it’s applied to the seal coat.

I knew that asphalt work was going to be bad as soon as you showed the outlines... Never in 15 years have I gone to job for pre-planning/estimates and painted it up like that or painted it at all. It is like going to fix a water leak and putting a circle around where a pipe has a hole in it. Like no crap that is where you got to work lmao. From the looks of it, they went to home depot and got some bags and shovels and just filled and patted. That is why they have to come back in the evening, the home depot that was local ran out of sealer so they had to go to the one in the next town lol. I would not be surprised if all they sealed was the patches and not the whole lot like you are expecting... please go ahead and get your money back and get a real company out there.

These shop build videos have been awesome! Definitely pumped a ton of life back into your channel. Excited to see the finish but not excited for the series to end. Also, those asphalt guy should have squared up the holes so it looks more uniform. Almost looks like they half a$$ed it. Also, It doesn’t look like they rolled or tamped the patches at all. Hopefully they come back and finish it right.

I’m not going to lie to you I own my own sealcoating buisness and them boys screwed your parking lot they should’ve cut squares around the pot holes so the patches were nice and neat . That doesn’t look good at all I’m not being an ass I’m just being literal. I am an asphalt pro I pave and own a sealcoating buisness they have no idea what they are doing . You are getting ripped off especially since they didn’t show first thing them patches are a bad sign they should have been cut square and the cracks should be filled with crack filler and you would never know there was a patch.
