I myself is a solid colour guy, but the way you have done the floor it looks sweet, if you think about it, marble has blemishes in it, so the odd small blotches could be looked at as a blemish, the large circle dot as a repair to the floor. But the shop is looking cool and crisp in its look.

Not to mention, the type of person that is a Detailer, not a kid in a carwash but an actual Detailer, usually is ocd and the small things stick out. I’m a horrible perfectionist. I end up letting the small stuff bug the hell outta me and I’ll spend way more time making something perfect to MY eye, almost to a detriment to be honest.

Depending on the polyaspartic you are using it can be really tricky to get it right, we used some really quick drying stuff from Sherwin once and it was a disaster, had the best luck with concreate floor supply (good pot life and great quality products). That being said when you nail down a great coat, it does last a long time! Glad you guys are happy with the final product!

I think it'd be cool if you had something up in that little space where your water heater is instead of leaving it as dead space. You could try to put the shower up there or maybe a kitchenette of some kind if the lines would be too costly or too much of a pain to run. Would definitely look way cooler! You could have stairs against that far wall so that way you can still have the washer/dryer combo below them in the same area, plus its easier access to your water heater.

@dontworrydehappy71042 жыл бұрын
You couldve salvaged the floor, but it wouldn't be your ideal marble. Added other layers of different colors and used the same application technique with the roller. It doesn't have to be full color layer, just a random red white and blue with some of the gray showing through, for example. Added some pizzaz with silver metallic, perhaps. That way the roller strokes would look deliberate and a piece of art instead of obvious failure. And like a piece of modern art, imperfections can make it more interesting. Paint dribbles, etc. No pressure to get it perfect, have fun with it. Level it out with clear coat, perhaps, after done. Or, I've seen countertops done by coating with clear first to help color flow.

Doing epoxy flooring in a area the size of the shop is harder to do. There's a guy on here that sales epoxy and puts it down. He does videos to teach you how to do it correctly. One thing is the quality of the epoxy and also of course using spiked shoes and a squeegee then going over with a roller. You are doing a fair job for not being experienced.

Why didn't you just do the clip-together tile floor? The ones that interlock with eachother. Keeps maintenance effort and costs down. Can change the design at any time. Just makes a lot more sense. The moment someone accidentally drops something like over 20 lbs your epoxy floor will be scuffed anyways. Plus if you get the right tiles you'll hide the drains nicely but they'll still work. If you're still set on the epoxy floor, next time take one of those octopus mops and use that for your colors. Much more natural looking results. Hard edged tools like paint rollers are going to create hard edge results. At the moment your floor just looks like it's a super old concrete floor that someone painted gloss white and got a bunch of oil leaks on.

Hey Caleb, Canadian here and I’m trying to find a business that would be good for me to open for an investors visa in the US so that I can move my family down there. Literally trying to run from Canada’s dictator Trudeau. I was wandering if you’d be interested in franchising your business? Basically we’d negotiate a dollar number that is fair and I’d purchase a shop in another state, maybe Tennessee I was thinking and then you’d train me on how to run the business and do the marketing and set me up with the real training for the actual ceramic pro and all the other things you do. I just feel that you got it figured out and your business stands out from others. Sincerely a family man who is hungry for freedom and success
