For $40 at Walmart, you could get a clip-on room (Annex), or two, for the "easy-up". I use two, which leaves an open space behind truck. I just use a tarp over the top of the 3/4" steel conduit frame. Gives you nice, bugfree rooms to sleep in, & storage too!

That's an ideal place to tuck your deep-cycle battery, if you've got room in the engine compartment. That's part of my long-term plan, and I was trying to think where it ought to be mounted, vaguely picturing something in the bed. I almost bought the extra cab, but the cramped space, due to the overbuilt jump seats and poofy plastic trim. So I got swayed to get the crew cab, short bed. Dumb move. Access cab with the suicide door(s) and all that stuff taken out would've been perfect. Get a longer bed. It didn't even occur to me, nor did it take more than 3 weeks for me to have all the seats out and all the plastic and seat belts taken out. If I had it to do over again, I'd get the access cab with the longer bed. But having that big cargo space right behind the seats has its advantages. Life is trade-offs.

@nmgaucho4 жыл бұрын
Republicans have no problem selling off public lands to oil, mining and gas interests. If it were up to them we would have no public lands and wilderness areas to enjoy. As long as there is a profit motive they would sell it all off to the highest bidder if the environmentalists didn't stop them in the courts.

@stevez3404 жыл бұрын
That has nothing to do with driving 200,000 miles, and then bitching about something that allows you to live the lifestyle that you have chosen. As for the McMansion, I agree totally. Maybe Bernie will read your comment and sell one of his? Or, maybe Barack will read your comment and sell his new oceanfront McMansion? Don’t you ever wonder why almost all the global warming alarmists have oceanfront homes?

Nice. You found a spot. Hope the weather is good. I see you have time to sit and edit footage. I have stoped in the beginning of your video to like and reply. Long, long ago I was searching all channels on this subject (nomad/ stealth/ best build. I have taken all good ideas and built mine. I did not remove back seats from my 00 Tundra TRD. JUST AT 200,000. Still stupid, reliable. Always offer good help. Buy extra spark plug coils. Don’t buy one, buy whole kit. Can help-ones on trail. I know I sometime, in the future, I may run into one of you fine folks. I’ll greet You with your name and leave it at that. Not a stalker. Haha. Just travel part time, as you do. I look for the coolest of places. You will always find them if driving all the trails. I back up more than I go forward. This is why I have stock clearance, no towable and a stealth appearance. Not lost. Had locals ask. Just leaving no stone un-turned. Explore everything you can while you can. Catching up on yard work and house siting, then hitting the road. Old Colorado Springs checking in. Kenny
