35 years ago I installed my first car audio system and in a short period of time learned about upgraded electrical system needs in order to actually get the power out of the amp it is rated for. Most guys never upgraded and never got the wattage they were paying for. The same is still true today. Even with much improved efficiency ratings you still have to put in power to get power out. But so many guys think that's false and that a car audio shop is trying to rip them off or that the company that made the amp is ripping them off because their system doesn't "sound" like it has 5000 watts. I just recently talked a friends kid out of a 3000 watt bass amp after calculating the real capability of his electrical system. When he found out that he'd really only be able to get about 1200 watts consistently out of that amp unless he upgraded his electrical system he decided to go a different route. We used larger and more efficient drivers than he originally wanted to use because he didn't know any better and a solid 600 watt amp on the two twelves in a larger volume enclosure. Combined with a 4x75 amp for the front end and adjusted for maximum volume with no distortion he can listen all day without worry of damaging his system. And he reports he tested 7 DB louder than a friend of his who used supposedly better woofers and a more powerful amp. Of course, his friend thought the woofers and amp he bought must be defective because he didn't understand why it's called a system and the choices you make in the overall design play a big part in the final outcome. So you can't worry about people who use your products incorrectly or who will never see a quarter of the rated power of your amps because they didn't supply the input power needed to get there. Sadly, there are far more uniformed fools trying to fit in than experienced participants or even those willing to listen and learn.

I recently switched out a Brazilian full bridge 12 for a jp 53 & so far I am enjoying the way the bass sounds with my FI 18 on the Korean built amp. It's kinda hard to explain the difference cause it takes a couple weeks of driving around listening to realize that the Korean built amps may read a bit less on the wattmeter, but they hit harder with that wattage compared to the full bridge amps which you'll see a higher number on the wattmeter on peak, but it's almost like they only shoot that ac voltage out for a millisecond while the Korean amps seem to supply that voltage for a longer period

*Shout out to "Big D", the best amp reviewer on YT... no disrespect to Justin or HFVega and Barevids is other worldly for tech/repair insights, js. The D4S rep had to tell me 3 times over the phone about the 10-channel (EZY Series) 4awg speaker output(s). I'm now deciding between that one for my coming SMART car or the MM Series.

I'm all about D4S & all the new stuff that you're putting out. I have a lot of D4S equipment in my system. It's just the amount of power that the JP53 & 73 are putting out compared to the JP83 that I have two of. As the power output is so close to what the JP83 is doing in a smaller package. But the efficiency percentage is about 10% better on the JP83. But with that said, I guess I don't know how much that actually means. I'm sure other people feel the same. I just know I'm seeing a lot cheaper amps doing close to the same power out on the Dyno. I know Dyno numbers & real world numbers are two different things. Because you'll never have a constant 1ohm load in a vehicle. But I'm sure that will probably effect what people buy in the future. When they see a JP53 putting out really close Dyno numbers to a JP83. Idk, it just seems like the power numbers are to close. When I bet a lot of people go off of those alone. So I think explaining that would be helpful for people.

I doesn't matter what the haters say! JP you'll be a legend of the car audio industry! He understands that people want to build a system that fits their individual needs not like other companies that expect you to tailor your system around their products 🙄 D4S4TW!!!

I would have bought a jp63, but unfortunately, you void the warranty without an upgraded alternator. My car is a hybrid and can not be upgraded. Kinda sucks because my electrical is stout, and all I need to beef up my electrical is add a lithium bank
