I have a Jp43 and even with dual runs of GP audio 1/0 wire, Js alternator 390 amp alternator, 2 d3400s, and the lto6 I just installed I'm still dropping to mid 13s which isn't bad. It does bounce back fast as well. The jp43 is an awesome power hungry amp. I may try 1 more lto 6. Do you think I would benefit from another one or should I go another route, like your super cap? I just think it'll look ridiculous with 3 different power sources by my amp.

( my installation won't occur until April Man I can't wait for my install ) but I don't know is the battery charger is to be hardwired to the car? How would I know if the battery is fully charged. I have 4 group 31t batteries in Peterbilt (semi). Surprisingly my alternator is only putting out 175amps. I want to install 2 amps totaling 4000 watts. Should I consider a lithium battery for more reserve or do I have enough?

So would this decrease voltage drop in my system at all with an upgraded battery and 100 amp factory alternator ? Currently running a Rockford 1200 watt mono amp for a single sa-12 and my voltage drops past 12V frequently. No aftermarket alternators available for my car, would have to get one custom made and make my own bracket to mount it.

It's not gonna be a one time use. You should check your batteries every so often, and put them on an actual charger. An alternator is Not a charger. If you never put them on a charger, the alternator will be put under too much stress over time and will crap out. Worst thing for an alternator is a bad battery

They're both the same LTO technology JP uses grade A lithium cell these cell can discharge 60c let's do the math 6ah x 60=360-500 amps of maximum discharge depending on alternator very impressive for such a small footprint Yinglong only have a 10c discharge rating this battery is way more efficient because of it changing and discharging rating the other company's are using Grade b Cells

I got a lto battery build with 12 yinlong battery’s and 6 maxwell super caps 500 farads and 2 40 amp dc to dc converter to charge that setup to regulate how much amps my back setup from over taking amps from the alternator.My truck getting painted right now after that I’m gonna sound deaden and install my sounds again and make a video🤙🏼 all Rockford power system 2 t2500s to a 19, t1000 8 6.5, t400 10 t2 tweeters

So how often do I need to charge it? It seems as if you charge it the first time install it and forget about it. The alt will take over from there. Someone pls explain the charging process a little more.

You'll want to put it on a lithium charger every now and then. The alternator isn't a charge, but it maintains your batteries. If you bump it daily, I'd check the voltage to the batteries every so often and put the LTO's on a lithium charger if needed. If you set it and forget it, eventually you'll crap out your alternator. I recently neglected my batteries and mechman 370 crapped out and I had to get it rebuilt. Also, if your running these LTO's along an AGM up front, make sure you disconnect the two before charging

@@FJTabb no not if your battery under the hood is a agm battery your good but you do need a isolator if your front battery is lead acid.

You should charge it before you install it. The battery most likely came shipped to you at less than full charge. You don't want to put your alternator at stress. Get a lithium charger, charge them up to about 13.6volts(100% SoC) then hook them up. Then check them every so often and maintain them with a curve every now and then. An alternator is Not a charge, it just helps maintain your batteries. If you neglect your batteries, you will eventually crap out your alternator

You dont need lithium for less than 2000w, your stock electrical can easily handle atleast 1500w (and thats with just a 90a alt)

I had a 350 amp alt but a cheap one or so I think its a rzalternator brand and it would drop to 12.8 had it on 2 45ah batts is that ok with a 3k pulling on them
