What is the difference between the xx18 an the xx10 setting for stick?
@MillerWelders3 жыл бұрын
Changing from XX10 to XX18 allows the machine to adjust the slope of the volt-ampere curve to best suit the welding electrode chosen. Those two classes of electrode have very different welding characteristic and adjusting this setting helps to alleviate some issues such as a 6010 type of electrode wanting to stick. Page 19 of the manual from the below link shows these curves as a visual illustration. Although this manual is for another model of machine the concept remains the same. Please reach out with any other questions you may have! www.millerwelds.com/files/owners-manuals/O277904B_MIL.pdf

For the Big Blue 400 PipePro press and hold the "Adjust/Control" button for 5 seconds to access the service menu. You can then rotate the knob to select "DIG RNGE" press the button again to adjust this setting. Detailed instructions can also be found in section 6-4 of the owners manual.

Does this remote work on flux core welding?
@MillerWelders4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for reaching out. Please keep in mind that this video was developed to illustrate a weld position and the specific welding techniques/weld settings used are not necessarily best for all applications. The Specification Sheet from the manufacturer of the filler metal you use is the best tool to determine starting welding parameters. Please let us know if you have any further questions. Thank you.

@@MillerWelders I understand that settings are different for each process , my question was . Can I control voltage output to work wit a wire feeder.
@LL-tk1gn3 жыл бұрын
@@lonesomedude81 yes you can. These welding machines can be used to set fir different types of welding. Therefore you can set the voltage output for the type of welding you are doing

Miller pipe pro 400 (dig range)?

Access and understanding of these settings should be in plain view on the machine to the person welding. Contractors don't provide literature, and people shouldn't have to hunt the internet for information.

Would be nice if you didn't have to mess with these dig settings.
