Dude get off Subaru bandwagon. Anybody who is in the market got an off road (fake suv, idc if the industry considers it in the same segment as .... suv) They would never buy anything else. A person who buys a crosstrek like adventure, likes going in nature. Or surfing etc. They need the trunk space with folded seats and off road capabilities and maybe towing That is not the customer type who buys a Honda crv or hrv or kona. The customer who buys these just wants a large car to go from a to b, by themselves or with friends or family. Not for adventures or towing People buy jeep, or Subaru, or other offroad capable vehicles depending on their budget I never saw a single youtuber review a Honda crv and talk about its towiing, because that's not the target consumer for that car

The plastic cladding is (for me) not too off-putting. I got over that when I bought a 2003 Honda Element EX. I love the interior!

I sat inside a Kona Limited and a Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid. I'm sold on getting a 3rd Kona (driving a 2022 Limited now, and had a 2019 Limited before that). The Corolla Cross Hybrid is just lacking any "oomph" in their interior layout, as well as lacking a spare tire. I think the lighter colored Kona paint makes the cladding stand out more. I'm looking at getting a red Kona (not sure what color interior yet) so the dark color will help the cladding blend into the car more.

I suppose it's really a matter of taste, the more I'm around my 2024 Kona limited, the more I like the way it looks. I actually really like the cladding, for starters, it doesn't look like every other vehicle in this class seriously they all look the same to me. I like the fact that the cladding and the unique design of the vehicle set it apart. Hyundai pushed the envelope on this one and like I said I enjoy that. The 1.6 In sport mode is more than capable of moving rapidly from point A to point B, had I wanted sports car, I would've bought a sports car.

I just got a 2024 Kona AWD SEL in Mirage Green. I fell in love with it on the lot. Beautiful color! Great to drive. So happy with it.

We have a Limited AWD in the Denim Blue Pearl. We wanted Mirage Green but didn’t like the cladding contrast. It blends in perfectly with dark blue. And the Limited Cladding is a smooth texture. The lesser base models are rough plastic like most other SUVs. We get a lot of nice comments from strangers in parking lots. ADAS features are more than competition. It feels solid and quiet.

Have ordered a Kona Hybrid (UK) N-Line S Luxury with Auto park etc. in Denim Blue. Agree I don't like the cladding in the grey, hence I ordered the N-Line. Looked at the HRV but older fashioned inside compared to the Kona and with a lot less equipment and gadgets, plus the Kona Hybrid gets 60+ MPG.

The standard motor doesn’t perform very well when you need to get rolling in a hurry. Outside of that, it’s a pretty nice vehicle.

If it's the same as UK spec you need the N line S trim to get those as well as a few other desirable features.

The reason this is the car of the yr despite your dislikes, which I appreciate honesty wise. Is that compact suvs and suv have skyrocketed in price due to greed and demand. And this is the only well priced one. Who needs a turbo compact suv. All people need is AWD and the tech snd safety features. So it wasn't fair when you complained about its turbo trim price. Who cares Plus idk why on earth a Honda crv is so expensive. They made the crv so big its as big as a pilot stance wise (maybe nit inside). But that size increase doesn't justify the price. And the Honda hrv is absolute garbage and so overpriced for how garbage it is Overall I hate how all past compact suv like crv rav4 And bro subaru are trash quality wise, so idk why ur so obsessed And a Subaru imo shouldnt be considered an sub even if the car world considers it so. It's a wagon Audi sells suvs and wagons for a reason

I had a 2918 VW T-Roc. a super car with excellent auto hold , auto stop and electric parking brake. I thought my 2024 petrol Kona would be as good. But its hopeless. Auto-hold switches itself off for some reason which means the parking brake doesn't engage automatically. The car rolled off on me more than once. Automatic Parking brake sometimes engages but it seems to be a random event. Thankfully not while driving . The engine auto stop feature is capable of shutting off the engine if coasting at a very slow speed. That should never happen on a moving car. In effect the software implementations on this car is an example of just bad software engineering. If ever autonomous driving is implemented don't ever go for Hyundai. Sorry I didnt go for a new T-Roc. One last thing. Where did anyone ever get the idea of a key fob the size of a brick with a separate metal key. i.e. a two part key?
