Christine, you have really inspired me with your downsizing. You have always done these sorts of videos before but this one was particularly more inspiring than ever. I have been doing the same thing in my life. One day I just had had enough. So like you, I have done this before but this time it's permanent. I am continually going through my home now and really purging. So, could you possibly make more videos about purging and downsizing? It is really helpful and of course, I love to see the results when you show us the rooms that you purge. Thank you so much for your words of wisdom when it comes to this topic of downsizing.

I water my basil plant daily. If you cut the tops of the plant to encourage it to bush out, place the cuttings in a window and in a week or so you’ll have cuttings with a lot of roots that can be planted directly into a pot of soil.

The squirrel is adorable but I don’t think I’d want it in the house. I haven’t visited your site in quite a long time. I’m blown away at your closet! I can remember how you used to fold all of your clothes and put them in drawers. You had a lot of jeans and shorts and a ton of makeup and nail polish. Your dresser that you painted was your pride and joy. And your vanity was beautiful with all your special things on it. You’ve really paired down. But plants have taken there space. Do you still have a space at the Antique Mall? I love going there. I’ll probably try to go there on Friday. Good to see that you and Michael are doing well. Take care 🥰

For those who don’t know, habituating wild animals to humans can actually indirectly (unintentionally) cause them harm and is why I don’t do it. Families of woodchucks live next door to me under an abandoned house and I act as the produce fairy, “secretly” dropping off produce for them a few times a week. I’m careful to not supply so much food that they stop searching for it themselves too, bc you do them harm if their instinct to find their own food sources are eliminated bc they fully depend on you. I also bring the food to them bc I don’t want them to associate other houses with food, as they could come across a human who may hurt them.

Your channel is so wonderful! Have a question, what do you wear if you are invited to a wedding or a formal dinner and where do you keep your vacation clothing like bathing suits and flip flops or sandals. I just didn’t see any of those items in your closet and since you mentioned about all of your clothes for all seasons being there I was just wondering about those other items I just mentioned. I have a big house with lots of plants throughout every room but I keep everything with a purpose and I really love what I have. I have sold lots of my furniture from the “main” leaving room area because we don’t use that room anymore and I will leave it empty with some plants only. My closet is a good size closet in the small to medium size and since I used to work for a designer company I have lots of good quality everyday clothes (jeans, trousers, sweaters, light weight tops, bottoms, dresses, etc.) but I keep it extremely organized and I am able to see everything I have. I keep purging it but some how I still have lots of good clothes and shoes to choose from but again everything is really organized and visible so I get to wear everything during the 4 different seasons. I totally agreed with you about the DYI projects! Omg instead of helping minimizing, it’s more work which create more clutter because we end up with extra product/tools that we will probably not need again or at least not for a very long time. I am also a big fan of buying good quality items over least expensive items that will only last for short period of time. I collect Chrystal’s and minerals too! I keep some of those beauties in different areas of the house as they aren’t just a decorative piece but a they serve a purpose bringing joy and peace and sense of well-being to those near them. I have a descent amount of gemstone that I have collected over the last day 5+ years and the majority of my collection are nicely displayed on a shelve above my desk and I added some lighting to emphasize their beauty. As much as I am still trying to minimize or downsize I still work in progress and watching your channel has infused my creativity again. 😊

I am wondering if that the many plants you are buying are now a substitute for the make up you purged??
