Downstream slide on the Waimak

With record low rainfall in the hills the Waimak was always expected to prove to be a challenge. Tight turns and a myriad of small channels to take, prove to level the playing field between all classes.
The lack of water preventing trouble free boating right to the top of the river it was instead decided to run a short course twice.
This is the first downstream leg of the day.
