My god, i literally watched 'the finale' last night after watching all 6 seasons and specials in 3 and a half months --- i sobbed at this scene, how episode 8 just came full circle for everyone, it was so bloody moving This will forever be my favourite season - I don't want to leave the characters, i'm finding it so hard, i was so invested, i found season 6 to be incredible, very moving with emotion and a strong season........... I just didn't want it to end last night I have no words to sum up how perfect 'the finale' was/is The music as the credits rolled broke me too, so slow compared to usual, i just sobbed.... honestly, what a series... I still have the 2 films to watch at the weekend but no more series... truly devastated..

This is how I saw it ending. We still get the scene up to Isabelle and the dowager, but then cut to the children’s nursery and Matthew and Sybil are standing over their children watching them sleep. Cut to downstairs with William in the servants hall watching everyone have a good time. Cut to the outside of Downton and scene.

Specifically, auld​ lang​ syne​ song.​ Although​ I'm​ Thai​ and​ my​ country has​ it​ own​ auld​ lang​ syne​ song​​ ​called​ "Samakee chumnum" which​ has​ different​meaning from​ the​ original​ version, I​ prefer this​ original​ one​ and​ always​ feel​ good​ when​ hear​ing​ it.​☺️☺️
