About 1:35, Bloomsbury's Books. We're lucky to have such stores. Support your local, independent book dealer! Ashland is one of the few cities that has a vital downtown. It's a destination itself. Some turnover every year, which seems normal. You find a new shop or restaurant every time you stroll the street. Did they get the lithia water fountains running again? I happen to like the stuff, take a big drink every time I pass, for over 60 years now.

Wide angle lens distorts. I live here and couldn’t recognize anything for about 10 minutes. Does not do justice. At all.

I agree…this is not a great representation of Ashland at all……

If I had used the 1x lens, you'd be complaining that you couldn't see anything. Grass is always greener...

Is the sky overcast, or is that smoke?

Overcast.

I have lived in Oregon for a long time and to me it looks overcast. The smoke stays close to the ground and people put on masks when it is really bad. And November is a bit late for fire season.

This was an overcast day. Smoke usually isn't an issue until July/August.

Beautiful city, but very expensive to live there. Where are the homeless?

They can't afford it either....

This town sucks used to be cool with plenty of artists and musicians but the rich took over making it inhabitable for creative people to thrive without getting harassed or fined..and better yet there’s no clubs or live music anywhere unless it’s a paid event..anyone know any local clubs to play live besides the armory..

That’s so sad to hear, I used to play there many times whenever my band was on tour up and down the I5 during the late 90’s, we always had such a great time.

This is a reductive and negative review of Ashland. Yeah, plenty of wealthy California types have moved in, but there's plenty of space for everyone. We could definitely use more affordable housing, which seems to be lacking. Busking is also encouraged and celebrated in town, so not sure what you're on about...

@@walkashland well you more than likely won’t get mugged here so that’s a positive thing

@@walkashland I think it’s one of the most amazing towns with arguably the friendliest citizens. There’s just something that happened to allot of similar hidden gems that was probably unavoidable with growth & development… Boulder, Santa Cruz, Ocean Beach, SD & even Bend all had something similar like a small town charm with mostly small mom & Pop businesses, in general more affordable for the average person to start a family… however most of these places have gotten very expensive in the last 30-40 years, my friends in Ashland have moved to Talent & Medford in order to be able to buy homes and have kids. So I think it’s not a knock on Ashland rather the changing times that happened everywhere.
