Hi Aubrey! I really enjoy your channel. Thanks for all the great content. I lived at The Seaholm Residences on the 28th floor (above the train tracks) and sadly had to move in 2018 because of the 24/7 freight train noise and hair-raising squealing around the bend. I even got soundproofing which didn’t do much. I was wondering if you know if the other side of the building is as loud? Maybe the actual building is a sufficient noise buffer? Also, if you purchase a condo with a parking space are you allowed to lease it if you don’t have a car? Thanks! I know who to call if I move back downtown!

Hi Shane! Thanks so much for the kind words, and I appreciate you watching! Ahh yes, the squealing noise you hear from the west-facing residences is not pleasant. To your point, the east-facing condos are a significant improvement. In fact, many of the east-facing units will heavily market that feature when they are listed for sale. The last I heard, you are able to lease your parking space to another resident. Most of the buildings downtown will allow you to do so, and it's a pretty hot commodity. Definitely recommend if that's an option for you. We would love to be a resource for you along the way, so definitely reach out anytime!

Why is home insurance so expensive in Austin ?

Thanks for watching and commenting. What city/state are you comparing to Austin? Would this be for a single-family home, condo, or other property type? Property insurance has always been competitive compared to most areas, so I'm curious about the specifics.
