Downtown Delivery in Houston, Texas - American Truck Simulator - Texas DLC

Continuing exploring the new upcoming Texas DLC for American Truck Simulator!
The Next Journey in Texas will take us to Houston. We'll be driving through Houston's Downtown delivering to Houston Intercontinental Airport.
Keep in mind that this is early access and still a work in progress.

From the beginning of the video you were in Seabrook, went through Clear Lake (also the name of the body of water you went over, passed Johnson Space Center (Mission Control for NASA, for those that live outside of the US)

They did good with Texas. For Houston, I do wish that they could add the Katy Freeway part of I-10 and add a freeway loop like the Beltway or I-610. For all cities in the U.S that they put in A.T.S, I also wish they could stop doing the two-by-two lanes... it's still a beautiful DLC.

As I can see, in the cities and villages, the boring two-by-two-lane roads are still there, sometimes with a separate turning lane. I was waiting for the bigger cities to be made as Las Vegas. there are more lanes and more streets, more interesting prefabs intersections , but this is not in the texas dlc. Apart from this problem, it's a nice dlc .

Yes i do not understand why SCS uses 2 lane interstates everywhere 30 minutes away from downtown Houston its still 3-4 lanes

Been down Farm to Market 1960 several times and it wasn't that wooded.

From Port Road (where they start) to NASA Road 1 is actually a lot further through Seabrook. They also left out El Lago and go straight into Pasadena and Nassau Bay.

Yeah, the map scale is 1:20 and unfortunately everything cant fit

@@TheHuskie that explains it. I don’t live far from the Endeavor High Rise Condo they show on the map. I hate that building. It should have never been allowed to be built. At one time the developer who built it was going to build 5 high rises. Initial sales were poor on the first building and the company went out of business. They made a lot of promises to El Lago, Taylor Lake Village and Pasadena to get approval and did not follow through.

Way too many trees for Houston. A lot of missing pieces in Downtown also. Hopefully will be better in final release

Yeah, i have my graphics optimized for my pc and usually it doesnt lag like that when recording. But looks like i need to turn them lower or upgrade my pc😄

Traffic can be adjusted or you can use traffic density mod, if i used more traffic the game will start lagging for me :D
