Detroit is beautiful. Some of the buildings are unsurpassed in beauty. What the city needs is more police support. There remains too many crimes and too few police.

It also needs to recreate some of its once vast streetcar transit system. No one will move here without relative safety and mass transit. Also please realize that even the better parts of Detroit stretch far beyond this square mile of the core downtown.

Wrong! Detroit needs more investment in their schools, public transportation, and the neighborhoods in general. Adding more police without doing any of the other is nothing but keeping suburbanites happy for when they visit.
