I used to be a cook at a restaurant. They taught me how to wash my hands the following way: 1. Turn on the water. 2. Rinse your hands (20 seconds ideally). 3. Apply soap quickly (water is still running unfortunately). 4. Rinse your hands well.5. Grab a paper towel and dry your hands. 6. Use the same paper towel to turn off the water. 7. Throw the paper towel away. I can't tell in this video but it seemed like the soap dispenser at Disney is not touch free either. So i agree with Peter, a pedal for the water and a touch free soap dispenser would have been the best alternative to keep their visitors safe and not waste water as well

Yeah, Black Tap's burgers are so big but good. My family and I just ordered two burgers and shared it since it was so pricey. Shared one crazy shake too. But it was all worth it for our vacay.

I cannot imagine having been there on Sunday, it was SO HOT. Having watched the news coming out of WDW, I assumed it would be similar, but it's nice to see it confirmed: things would be slammed right at the beginning and then they would slow down. I figured even more so at DTD since there's less to do than Disney Springs. I got my 65th anniversary merch yesterday (after a bajillion hours, but different story), and I decided to pick it up. Hopefully the crowd levels will still be low by then. I'm hoping to get to walk around a bit and that it will feel safe. Those crazy shakes are AMAZING. Right before the world shut down I had a friend in and we drove out to DTD (like 2.5 hours round trip) to have lunch and we split a shake for dessert. It was definitely one of the best decisions that I've made and one of the highlights of 2020!

If you don’t want to touch the knob, I always use an extra paper towel to turn off the water. It’s wasteful for paper but gets the job done! 👍🏼

That shake looks amazing. Fruity pebbles are my favorite. Making rice crispy treats out of them are super easy just swap them in the usual recipe. I think you’ve inspired me to make them before I start Keto next week 😂

So interesting to see the differences between the Disney Word reopening here in Orlando and the slow reopening in California. Our hand wash stations have a foot pump and bag checks are modified for less-touch with new metal detectors.

You don't need worry about touching the nobs at the hand washing station. You are immediately washing your hands after turning the water on, so no danger there. And as for turning the water off, just use the paper towels you dry your hands with so you aren't directly touching the metal with your hand. :)

Toothsome is SOOOOO GOOD. The Brownie one is amaaaaaazing. The vanilla macaroon on top of the vanilla thrilla shake is super good too. Also it you get a burger, get the one with bacon the name! (I can't remember what it's called exactly. It might have pig in the name.)

I just got back from Downtown Disney. Wasn’t very busy. People are very respectful of your space. The castmembers, as usual, are great. World of Disney was about a 6 minute wait. Marceline’s was about the same. Not bad at all.
