Downtown Federal Signal Thunderbolt 1000 - Wichita, KS 11/28/11

Video taken on November 28th, 2011 for the weekly noon test.. This siren is located in Downtown Wichita on top of the AT&T building. The siren is tested in Alert in Attack modes. It was a really cool siren to film because of all the surrounding buildings which made a insane echo during the wind ups and attack mode! Sorry about all of the traffic in the video I was right by the street because this it the only place that the whole siren is visible from. Thanks for watching!!!

@sirenfan97 I'll have to search for that 2T22B vid. Thanks for telling me about it! Since you already have a 2T22B video, you could go for another jailbar Tbolt for the next test...I love the sound of those big A1 blowers, especially on a 1000!

@Trocks797 Wichita still has a bunch of 1000's and 1000T's (some of them with the jailbar grill), xT22's and other older Federal sirens, and I believe a fiew 2001's and some Whelens. I've heard that Wichita is supposed to be replacing their old sirens with Whelens, but it doesn't look like they've done much yet. Have you heard that jailbar 1000T that Sirenfan97 recorded a while back? It sounds just like the Wilder Tbolt did on June 22.

My town lost a Thunderbolt I was on Google maps and Jul 2008 I saw the same Tbolt

They would have to put a nice siren on a building full of a bunch of crooks wouldn't they? LOL Nice video Gabe, first healthy 1000 I've heard in a long time that's atop a building in a downtown area; for some reason most seem to be sickly (due to being forgotten about).

@Audinos Agreed about AT&T...They've worked with me on my rates, and Insight Communications refused to help me and they kept razing my rates until they started eating me out of my grocery money...I dropped my Insight internet and phone and switched to AT&T. The internet is a little slower, but it's worth it.
