Doyle is a thumb picker and Caleb is a hybrid flat picker. I think it's fascinating that Caleb developed a playing style all his own, obviously influenced by his dad, but differing quite a bit due to picking style. It's cool that Doyle didn't say "this is how you do it, son" he let Caleb develop his own way, with his own tone, not just a Doyle clone. Beautiful song.

Everything about this performance is brilliant! What a blessing! My making music with my dad ended Christmas 2008 when he passed! I miss him everyday, but right now, a little more than usual. He would have loved this video, too! Thanks for sharing this moment with us! Peace!
