I read the Bible daily as a result of watching my grandmother. As a teenager, I thought, if my grandmother can read the Bible 0:38 daily at her age, surely I can too. “Sweet Hour of Prayer” power.

Additionally brother Doyle, I was reminded of this verse as you were speaking of not being deceived by Satan, and I think it is important to remember this as well and it goes wonderfully with what you were saying both about the deceitful ministries from decades ago as well as the beguiling of Eve and many of us all too often: “But what I do, that I will do, that I may cut off occasion from them which desire occasion; that wherein they glory, they may be found even as we. For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.” ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭11‬:‭12‬-‭15‬ ‭KJV He is a roaring lion at times, and he also will transform into an angel of light at times. We must be wary in all situations to not fall for his deceit, and that can only happen by remaining in communion with Christ Jesus and the Father through the Holy Spirit. God bless.

The bible tells me he does (as the song says), but, I struggle to believe that I am worthy, even though I know that my being worthy has nothing to do with God's grace... God Bless you, Doyle! 35:00 Many years ago I was having dinner at a local Mexican restaurant. A 'roaming' guitarist came by our table and played a sweet tune.. which I appreciated. Sometimes they sing and play so loud it makes you drop your chips!😂😂😂😂 ...Being a guitarist, I engaged with him about our instruments. He asked what kind of music I played and I said mostly Christian music. He immediately began to play 'Jesus Loves Me,' it was a lovely arrangement.... When he was finished I asked what other Christian songs he knew.... He said, "That's the only one"... I smiled and reached over to touch his arm and said "That's the only one you need to know". Years later I became acquainted with one of his sons, who is a famous guitarist in his own right. I learned his father had a sad ending to his life but I've always had a prayer in my heart the seed I planted had taken root.

Thanks for the right advice I have tried to be there for people and they know I'm right about God but they drink I have been so in pain watching them thinking they are right about everything but the alcohol ruined their lives and I pray but the pain was in the womb so cruel born in sin and death left me when I fell thank God I can repent thanks 🙏🙏🙏

Hello Doyle, thank you for today’s String Along as always. Sitting here drinking from my Sunday String Along Cup and playing guitar. Your scripture readings and explanations are also valuable to me. If you have time would you please talk about my question: what does the Bible say about having and losing ( via death) our beloved pets? For 25 years now I have rescued.adopted retired Racing Greyhounds from racing tracks. At age &0 now, I am on number 15 Greyhound. Every time I lose one through death I go through a time of grieving including being angry at God! I don’t know how to get over that at times and I don’t know what the Bible tells us about losing pets and grief and anger that can come from that. If you have the time, can you talk about that please. Thank you Jim from Western PA
