Love that 1st song! I'm gonna need 3 pickers to play it though. I left a successful country bar/fair band in 1992 in the hope of starting a family, even though I was single. Shortly after that, I found a wife, found Jesus, and promised the Lord that I'd never play for anyone but Him. I spent the next 20 years working odd jobs to pay for my guitar addiction and playing on Sunday morning in our praise "band". The youngsters have taken over the praise band now. My only audience is Jesus, my wife and my dogs. Our children are grown with families of their own. I probably could have made a career in Nashville but I think I made a better choice for my life. I can't imagine a life without my family. Memories made performing are our own and will perish with us. Memories made with a family are shared and might live for generations.

Amen, Amen to this service. I agree, Let the light shine. Sadly too many people don't let it shine. They took prayer out of schools and so many kids never even know about God. I think that desperately needs to change. Prayer needs to be put back in schools and the workplace. The world needs to shout Let it shine. Thank you for an awesome uplifting service. Hey Doyle - love your man cave. Your channel is now over 26K. God is giving the increase because of your faithfulness. I remember asking Joe Pass how much he practiced. He said I don’t practice. I then asked how he got so good ? He said it was a gift from God as it is with you Doyle. A spiritual gift from the Lord. Both of you could / can play a guitar like a piano player. Not an easy task. It irritates me so much when guys say “You have to use this kind of guitar for this style and a different one for that type of music”. If Jim Heath can play Motörhead songs on a 6120 and make it sound good, you can use whatever you want or have.

I would replace ‚you have to use this guitar‘ with ‚i would suggest this guitar because it’s built with this playing style in mind‘. But even that is debatable. But for example most gipsy jazz players play very similar guitars, because they do this kinda things very good. ❤
