My original GameCube always had the dead zones. I suspect that's why so many of us love the original N64 joystick.

People buy gamecube controllers to play smash competitively and turbo and macro aren't allowed for tournament use. They're missing a huge market by including them, or at least not selling a version without them.

There is a charging bridge for the Nyxi wizard but it’s sold separately

If you had to rate the comfortness of this model vs original GameCube controller, what score would you give this?

7/10 the only difference that youll feel are the triggers and the smaller space for your middle finger

Do you think the sticks from this controller will fit my switch pro remote? I'm looking for the C-stick feel for smash.

Yes since they are regular potentiometers But if you know how to solder you can buy a hall effect replacement and change it yourself

But the have a hall effect joysticks version now, right? (Based on their website... At least the black color model) though I thought the version you show in the video already had them...

Now with Hall effect! That was enough for me to choose this over the nyxi

Nyxi has hall effect too but this one has better face buttons

@@VKsChannel yeah - from the videos I saw, the most significant drawback mentioned in comparison was lack of Hall effect. Fair play to them for acknowledging that and rushing out an upgraded one. I ordered mine today and I’m really excited! Even though I’ve not really played GameCube, I’m loving the colours too and the joycon charging feature looks like the best solution for nes joycons! All round a top purchase for £53.99 delivered!

Please I need assistence with the firmware update, my retro gamecube joycons disconnect when I use the switch portable. I suspect that problem is caused by the firmware so I downloaded the software to update it and I follow the steps showed on this video...but the software doesn´t detect my joycons...what could be happening?

Is there an update to fix the D-Pad diagonal inputs? I would really like to know. I just got this controller and it’s impossible to play fighting games like Street Fighter with the D-Pad not having diagonal inputs.

I will ask binbok about it They have updated the dpad for the new versions but since you already bought it I guess you'll have to mod the dpad

@@VKsChannel that’s unfortunate :/ If they could some how update the D-Pad with a firmware update, that would be great. Do you know if the new controller also fixed the wiggle with the joycon rails?

@@VKsChannel I just found a couple of other videos of people using this controller from about 5 months ago back when the controller had the black middle part and the D pad was working for them just fine so did Doyoky end up messing up the D pad with the latest batch of controllers that includes the purple middle or some thing?

Yeah the batch with the purple middle Has a different dpad, and they reverted it to the newest version, check the short video that I just posted@@RedxShinobi

@@VKsChannel thanks for making the video. It’s very unfortunate that the previous model has the D pad issue. I’m not sure what to do. Do I try to get a refund or can they send me the updated version or can they just fix the D pad on my current one?
