I think it’s disrespectful to treat a guest as the interviewer has acted towards Timothee. Whether he liked him or not you’re interviewing someone for the ultimate goal of others listening so it’s unnecessary and inconsiderate to act like you are more intelligent than the person you’re asking questions to.

Muzika Queen, you're comparing apples to oranges. Love, Simon and Call Me By Your Name are very different films. One was marketed as a mainstream romantic comedy featuring gay characters, the other was marketed as an awards season art house drama featuring gay characters. They only have two things in common, they feature a character who is coming of age and they feature gay people. That's like comparing My Best Friend's Wedding to Titanic because they both feature white women falling in love. Two other notes. CMBYN was slowly rolled out into around 900 theaters at it's widest release. Love, Simon was released to 2,400 theaters at once. Again, this is because they are such different films. As for box office comparisons. It is not accurate to state that Love, Simon made "so much more money" than Call Me By Your Name. Love, Simon made $59 million worldwide on a budget of $17 million in 2,400 theaters. CMBYN made $41 million on a budget of $3.5 million 900 theaters. While both films are financially successful, any industry insider would tell you that CMBYN was more financially successful than Love, Simon. As for comparing Timothee Chalamet's acting to Nick Robinson's acting, that is a subjective and very difficult task. Call Me By Your Name demands far more of it's actors than a film like Love, Simon. I don't know that Nick Robinson has ever had a role with as much emotional range as Elio; the closest he would have come was playing Charlie in Being Charlie, but that role still required less range and the film received poor reviews. Maybe Nick Robinson could act circles around Timothee Chalamet, but the only way we'll know is if he is given a role that demands it. That's not a slam on Nick Robinson, that's true of every actor. Take Jesse Eisenberg, to pull an example out of thin air, back when he was starring in horror films like Cursed and TV-Movies like Lightning: Fire From The Sky, I doubt he was on anyone's radar to one day receive an Oscar nomination. It wasn't until The Social Network that he was given a role that allowed him that kind of opportunity. Sorry for the long reply, it just bugs me when people compare Love, Simon and CMBYN. They are two entirely different films, different genres, with different releases and different target audiences. The only thing they have in common is a gay lead. As a gay man, it feels insulting to imply being gay is so significant that any movie with a gay character is defined by that character's sexual orientation. Imagine comparing Freddy Got Fingered to Spotlight because they both deal with sexual assault. If that sounds ridiculous to you, and it should, then stop comparing Love, Simon to Call Me By Your Name. They are both good movies, but they just aren't comparable.

yeh your not wrong was surrounded by alot of precocious 22 year olds, myself NOT included so you know but hes certainly lived alot already and hes a good kid and actors have to kind of know themselves pretty well when just starting out or at least be highly perceptive, sometimes you have to live a few more years to get to where hes at sometimes you don't. Some people are really talented but they arent so good at empathy some high emotional intelligence but you know not very pragmatic we all develop in different areas at different times.

Excuse my language, but holy freakin shit! Timothée Chalamet is such an old soul and his brain on movies is disturbingly interesting. To be his age and be that amazingly educated on films, plays, actors, directors, etc... I am so freakin impressed with him. He has definitely done his homework and then some. I don't think too many his age in the acting industry can even remotely compare notes... And for the fact that he is very humbled about his own career. I majorly respect that! I have watched a lot of his work over the past year. Call Me By Your Name, Miss Stevens, Lady Bird... This kid has it! And I see him going even higher than he already is now. He's going to blow up the big screens in his near future! His parents must be very proud of him! And rightfully so! He is already a force to be reckoned with!

He's the most well informed and educated actor I've seen in a long time~ and educated in a way that words just flow out of his mouth freely, his posture is relaxed yet excited, his references are on-point.. no air of arrogance. and I should say this but he's not saying 'like... like... like..." and it's refreshing. I could rant on and on about how this interview was like VITAMIN.. it's amazing.

The way he portrays the emotions of his characters is so accurate but like in a subtle and heartfelt way. Not to mention his angelic and adorable personality and his gorgeous, gorgeous face. He’s compassionate and sensitive and his intelligence, knowledge and wisdom differs him from nearly every other human being his age. An actual angel

I don't know if you'll ever see this but Timothée, LISTEN. WE CARE FOR YOU. We want to know you, because you seem to be kind, generous, genuine, unique, cute, smart, ambitious, clever, hardworking (and I could say wayy more)😊 Just know that you have an amazing talent and thank god that your being recognized for that, like you have a hole fandom now and as for me, forever. I really hope to see more of your work, because for what i've seen (add list of your filmography) you truly deserve the Oscar. I mean I traveled 8 hours just to see CMBYN and another 8 to my house 🙃 when I sometimes i don't even wake up for school and I know plenty of other people who's done that too. If that doesn't show's you how much we care to see you, I don't know what will. Sincerely: Natali Baez 19 México 😂 😘 we love you boy 🤘✌️

Is it weird that I am a guy, a straight guy, and I find this kid pretty attractive? Like there is some quality to him that draws you in, not just talking about his appearance but the overall vibe and intelligence that exudes from him. I feel like he has an androgynous beauty.

@@sweettea735 I know this is hella late but I think people can recognize beauty no matter if it is masculine or feminine without a label having to be put on them. We allow females to say whether another woman is pretty or cute and it is ok and men obviously have the same thoughts but they are not allowed to express that because it is taboo in our culture.

I don’t know if interveiwers or interviews in general make timothee rlly nervous but it seems to me he has something along the lines of anxiety or adhd or ADD. I have social anxiety and ADD and I swear he shows so many symptoms in interviews and Q&A’s
