I know she was joking, but it says a lot of society and our culture that going to bed early and not drinking is seen as a flaw.
@timevine5170
@timevine5170 6 жыл бұрын
That's not really what she was saying, though. She was trying to say that she doesn't look flawed by the same markers as her characters, because she is responsible and not wild, but that despite that exterior "maturity," she is still flawed. (As we all are, of course.)

Drinking is definitely glamourized and makes you a 'cool girl' who can talk about made up drunk stories like Jennifer Lawrence has done lying about Lindsay Lohan and Miley Cyrus to make them look bad lol most people who brag about drinking though are actually quite embarrassing and sad... like just imagine someone bragging about their sex addiction lol

Great to see an actual role model coming out of Hollywood. Without all the desperation for attention, hype drama and scandal. Keep doing what you do!

She nailed every performance she was in recent years. Especially, Mickey. Even though, she and Britta have minor similarities in general they are genuinely different performance and kudos to Gillian for portraying them perfectly. She is flawless yet, I hope she appears in more well known productions rather than indie movies because she is so underrated.

@@mmyilmazyurt8666 Abed and Troy's blanket fort gets into the local paper so Abed says, "You know what this means?" and Troy says, "We've gone mainstream..." Abed says, "Initiate Protocol Omega!" They pull on socks hanging from the blanket fort and it all collapses. Then the looting starts... Sorry, I know it's from Gillian's old stuff but Community is so quotable.

When I saw your Paul Rust interview for LOVE, I was hoping you had talked to her, too. Great you got another chance to talk to her, thanks to Don't Think Twice, which is getting rave reviews. 100 percent on RT. Love her so much, ever since Choke in 2008. Can't wait for season 2 of LOVE!. She's so unbelievably good on LOVE - Emmy-snubbed for sure!. She seems like a lovely person, too - inside and out.

For some strange reason, Gillian reminds me of a Cuban-American comedy actress named Ana Margo, who should be in her fifties now, but their physical appearance (from back when Ana appeared in a PBS comedy show named “¿Qué Pasa, USA?) and delivery are quite similar...

@@comedychrises I‘d say, to each their own, that’s why I specified in the original comment that I’m not sure if I’m the only one who thinks like that but I watched the video a little bit again and I can agree to this extent that her features though maybe are more accentuated (broader lips and cheekbones) but I felt a slight clumsiness or lack of complete self assurance in her demeanour this time around which maybe is the only thing that can be ascribed as to why she hasn’t been able to have the success of Margot Robbie, but this is just a specious assumption on my part but for the sake of discussing and comparing visible features, I think it works alright.
